"Damn right it is," Sandro said, his grin widening. "And that's not all. Spotify are going global in two months form now. This is it. The floodgates are about to open. Music, content, and social media, it's all converging, and we're right in the middle of it."
The car filled with a heavy silence, but it wasn't awkward. It was the kind of silence that came when the weight of something big finally settled in.
Alexa finally broke it, a small smile tugging at her lips. "You're insane, you know that? Wrestling, business, movies… you've got your hands in everything."
Nikki smirked, eyes still on the road. "Yeah, but that's why we're with him. He doesn't just play the game. He makes the rules for the game."
After that was done, days passed by once again and it was back on Monday. The city of Long Beach, California, was buzzing with anticipation. RAW was live, sold out to the rafters, tens of thousands of fans jam packed into the arena, their signs waving in the air, the electricity palpable even before the cameras officially went live.
This wasn't just any RAW. Everybody knew it. The fallout from last week was the only thing anybody could talk about. Sandro Zhang, the man who had carved out chaos every time he walked into a WWE arena, had done the unthinkable, he had headbutted Vince McMahon, the Chairman, the patriarch, the untouchable.
Blood poured, referees and officials were left scattered like wreckage after a storm, and now fans were left on the edge of their seats wondering, would there be hell to pay tonight?
As the red pyro exploded and the broadcast officially kicked off, Michael Cole's voice cut through the deafening roar.
"WELCOME everyone to MONDAY NIGHT RAW! We are LIVE from a sold out Long Beach, California, and King, I can tell you right now, this building is shaking under the anticipation of what's to come tonight!"
Jerry "The King" Lawler leaned in, his voice sharp with conviction. "Cole, I've been doing this a long time, and I've seen some outrageous things in this business, but I've NEVER seen anything like what Sandro and his Undisputed System pulled last week! Referees, officials, security, hell, even the Chairman of the WWE himself, Vince McMahon, left lying in a pool of his own blood after that disgusting headbutt!"
The production team wasted no time. The titantron lit up with a full replay package from last week, the chaos in the backstage hall, Shawn Michaels busted open and writhing on the floor, referees desperately trying to hold the factions apart only to get clobbered for their trouble, and the shocking, jaw dropping moment Sandro turned to looked at Vince, had a calm look in his face, and suddenly rammed his forehead into the Chairman's skull. The arena gasped and booed all over again, even though they'd seen it already.
Cole's voice narrated over the footage. "Folks, if you're just joining us and didn't catch RAW last week, THIS is what has the WWE Universe talking. The fallout from one of the most brutal backstage brawls in recent memory. Referees injured. Security guards taken to local hospitals. And our Chairman left busted open by the United States Champion himself!"
The video package ended on Vince clutching his head as EMTs swarmed him. When the camera cut back to the arena, the boos were deafening.
Lawler shook his head. "You know, Cole, fines aren't enough this time. Suspensions, firings, Sandro should be stripped of his title! I mean, how much longer can this company allow him to just run wild before something catastrophic happens?"
Before Cole could respond, the arena suddenly erupted. A familiar theme hit, Stephanie McMahon's music, Welcome To The Queendom. The opening beat triggered a wave of cheers, and within seconds, the Princess of WWE appeared at the top of the ramp, microphone in hand, a black folder tucked under her arm.
Cole stood in awe. "Well, speak of the devil or maybe the angel in this case! Here comes Stephanie McMahon, daughter of the Chairman, to address the madness from last week!"
Stephanie's face was stoic, but her eyes were fire. She strode down the ramp with purpose, ignoring the hands that reached out toward her. As she climbed the steel steps and slipped into the ring, the crowd cheered louder, sensing she was about to drop a hammer on the Undisputed System.
She raised the microphone, waited for the cheers to calm just enough, and began.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Monday Night RAW." Her voice was steady, commanding. "I don't think I need to remind anyone of what happened last week. But for those of you who may have missed it, let me make this perfectly clear, what Sandro and his Undisputed System did was not just an attack on DX, not just an attack on Kofi Kingston, and not even just an attack on our referees, officials, and security. It was an attack on this entire company."
The crowd cheered, rallying behind her words. She nodded, pacing slowly.
"And worst of all, my father, Vince McMahon, was assaulted. By the man who calls himself your United States Champion."
Instantly, the arena filled with deafening boos at the mention of Sandro's name. Stephanie tilted her head slightly, allowing the noise to wash over her before continuing.
"And I agree with all of you. Sandro deserves punishment. The Undisputed System deserves punishment. So tonight, I'm making it official. Each member of the Undisputed System is fined fifty thousand dollars for their part in the chaos. And Sandro himself—" she paused, her jaw tightening, "—is fined an additional seventy five thousand dollars for laying his hands, or should I say his head, on my father."
The arena exploded in cheers at the announcement, fans chanting, "THEY DESERVE IT! THEY DESERVE IT! THEY DESERVE IT!" directed at Sandro, even though he wasn't there. Cole was practically vibrating with satisfaction.
"Yes! Thank you, Stephanie! That's what needed to happen!"
But Stephanie wasn't finished. She leaned closer into the mic, her voice cutting sharper.
"And not only that, tonight, Sandro will defend his United States Championship against Triple H."
The crowd erupted, jumping to their feet.
Stephanie raised her voice over the roar. "And it will be in a lumberjack match! Every member of the RAW locker room, DX, and Kofi Kingston will surround that ring to make sure there is no escape. And as for the rest of the Undisputed System? They are BANNED from ringside!"
The fans nearly blew the roof off the building, chanting "YES! YES! YES!" while Lawler clapped his hands at the commentary desk.
"Oh, this is perfect, Cole! Sandro's finally going to get what's coming to him, and there's no Undisputed System to bail him out this time!"
But then…
The lights flickered.
A mechanical voice boomed through the speakers. "SHOCK THE SYSTEM!"
The arena plunged into darkness for a moment before golden lights flashed across the stage. The Undisputed System's theme thundered through the speakers, and the crowd immediately turned hostile, unleashing a tidal wave of boos.
When the lights came back up, there they were, Sandro in front, the United States Championship slung arrogantly over his right shoulder, a microphone in hand. Alexa clutched his left arm, her smile wicked. Behind them, Wade Barrett, Drew McIntyre, Big E, and Ryback stood tall, arms crossed, soaking in the hatred from the crowd.
Cole's voice cracked with alarm. "Oh no… oh no, no, no. This is NOT good! The Undisputed System is here, and Stephanie McMahon is alone in that ring!"
Lawler was equally tense. "Cole, somebody get out here! This could get ugly fast!"
The music faded, but the boos didn't. Sandro raised the mic to his lips, staring directly at Stephanie in the ring.
"Stephanie… Stephanie… Stephanie…" His voice was mocking, sing song, repeating her name until the crowd booed louder. "Have you learned nothing from what happened to your father last week? You think a fine and a lumberjack match are punishment? You think that scares me? That's a child's play to me, but you should have consequences."
He tilted his head, smirking coldly. "Maybe I should pay you a visit, Steph. Maybe I should stop by your and Hunter's house… and pay a little visit to your daughters. Maybe then you'll understand not to cross me."
The arena exploded with outrage, boos reaching a fever pitch. Fans hurled insults, middle fingers flew into the air, and the sound was nearly deafening.
Cole's voice was horrified. "Oh my God! Did he just, did he just threaten Stephanie's CHILDREN AGAIN?!"
Lawler slammed his headset against the table. "That's too far! That's beyond too far, Cole! That's SICK!"
Stephanie's face drained of color. She clutched the microphone tighter, her voice trembling at first but quickly rising with fury. "Don't you EVER… ever… threaten my daughters again, Sandro! Not ever!"
But Sandro just chuckled, a dark, amused sound. "And what are you gonna do about it, Stephanie? Hm? You? Triple H? DX? Kofi? You can't stop me. Nobody can. And since you were dumb enough to stand in that ring and talk back to me, it looks like it's time someone taught you a lesson. Now, me and my boys, we don't hit women. But my baby girl Alexa?"
He glanced at Alexa, who smirked wickedly and raised her hands like a fighter. Sandro nodded. "She'd be more than happy to show you what happens when you mess with us."
The Undisputed System began walking down the ramp, Sandro and Alexa leading the way, their faces twisted in arrogance. The boos rained down like a thunderstorm, but they didn't flinch.
Stephanie instinctively backed up in the ring, her jaw set but her fear evident. Cole's voice was frantic.
"Somebody needs to stop this right now! Sandro and the Undisputed System are about to corner Stephanie!"
But before they could make it halfway down the ramp…
The crowd ERUPTED as bodies began leaping over the barricades from the audience.
Triple H. X-Pac. Road Dogg. Billy Gunn. Tori. And Kofi Kingston.
All six stood shoulder to shoulder at the base of the ramp, cutting off Sandro and his crew like a wall of defiance. Triple H, his jaw clenched, pointed straight at Sandro. Kofi, bouncing on his heels, shouted over the noise. The DX boys were fired up, barking and taunting, while Tori glared directly at Alexa, rolling her fists like she was ready to throw down right then and there.
The building shook with cheers. "DX! DX! DX!" chants thundered as the two factions stared each other down, the tension so thick you could slice it with a knife.
Sandro stopped in his tracks, the smirk never leaving his face. He lifted the mic again, slowly, almost enjoying the standoff.
"Well, well, well… looks like the cavalry showed up after all."
The arena was rocking, the atmosphere electric as the standoff between the Undisputed System and DX with Kofi Kingston at their side reached a fever pitch. Fans were on their feet, screaming at the top of their lungs, some with veins practically popping from their necks as they hurled every insult in the book toward Sandro and his crew.
Sandro, with his trademark arrogance, lifted his hand, halting Alexa and the rest of the Undisputed System before they could take another step forward. Alexa, her smirk still intact, looked like she wanted to charge forward and get her hands on Tori, but Sandro's calm, cold authority held her back. Wade and Ryback were twitching with aggression, Drew's nostrils flared like a bull ready to gore someone, and Big E's massive arms flexed as he glared at DX.
Sandro, though, wasn't flustered. He just grinned, amused by the chaos swirling around him. He raised his microphone again, his voice dripping with calculated condescension.
"You think we're gonna walk into that?" Sandro sneered, motioning toward DX and Kofi, who were standing shoulder to shoulder in front of the ramp. "We're not stupid. We're not walking into such an obvious trap."
The boos rained down instantly, the Long Beach crowd letting him have it, but Sandro didn't care. He just chuckledb at this situation, tapping the face of his United States Championship as if to remind everyone exactly who was still running the show.
