Ariel became confused on hearing the strange voice. She looked around, her gaze sweeping across the walls of the office, but she couldn't find any other person inside except Alicia.
'Who is this person?' she wondered, her brows furrowing slightly.
"Hi, pretty! I'm right here," came the cheerful voice again.
Ariel's eyes widened as a green turtle appeared on the table, its tiny shell shimmering under the room's dim light. She flinched back at first, but curiosity soon overtook her fear. It was a talking turtle — she blinked twice to be sure she wasn't dreaming.
"What in the world! Am I dreaming?" she asked in disbelief.
"Oh no, pretty! You're not," the turtle chuckled, puffing out its tiny chest proudly.
"Wow! What a cute little turtle! You talk!" Ariel exclaimed, her tone bubbling with excitement.
