Allen woke up in the middle of the night; he couldn't sleep.
"Hm~"
As expected, he was trapped.
The beautiful and sexy nurse clung to him like a koala while she slept deeply. Of course, since Allen was a gentleman, the last thing that would bother him was a beautiful woman sneaking into his bed.
Carefully, he freed himself from Shizuka's embrace, stood up, and walked toward the window.
Looking out from there, there was only darkness over a dead city.
Even the many staggering figures in the darkness didn't make much noise as long as they didn't receive any stimuli—at least that was the case for blind zombies.
After all, there was always the occasional roar or scream in the distance caused by some poor devil unlucky enough to run into a mutant zombie.
"There's still electricity, but they're cutting the streetlights..."
The government had mobilized instantly; to ensure that essential services continued, they sent the JSDF to the power plants to "kidnap" all the staff.
Thanks to that cruel decision, many other survivors were able to take advantage of this opportunity to increase their chances of survival. Of course, the government didn't do it for the citizens' sake, but for their own reasons.
"It wouldn't surprise me if they cut the power at any moment."
Kyoko approached, holding two cups of coffee.
"Thanks." Allen took the cup and smiled, shamelessly running his eyes over the woman in her nightgown. "I assume sensei can't sleep either."
"Pervert." Kyoko blushed as she scolded Allen, but she made no effort to hide her voluptuous body. On the contrary, she was secretly pleased.
Allen was surrounded by younger and beautiful girls, so Kyoko didn't feel confident she could draw his attention. Thinking about that made her blush even more—was she trying to seduce Allen?
"Kyoko…"
"Y-yes?!"
Lost in her thoughts, she jumped when he called her out of nowhere, but she quickly regained her composure to face him.
Allen chuckled softly at Kyoko's reaction. "I was just wondering if you were okay. Keeping your composure while the whole world collapses around you isn't easy."
Hearing Allen's words made Kyoko feel relieved, yet at the same time, slightly disappointed.
"I'm fine... No, I'm not fine. The world collapsed, and to be honest, a part of me just wanted to give up." Kyoko smiled with melancholy for a moment, but then her eyes lit up. "But thanks to you being here, I can keep moving forward... I hope you don't mind having me around~"
"Never..."
Only a fool wouldn't notice the confession disguised as gratitude. Allen took Kyoko's cup and placed it next to his on a shelf. Then he turned toward her and, without warning, grabbed her by the waist and pulled her into his arms.
"What are you doing?"
Kyoko didn't make the slightest attempt to escape, and despite her feigned ignorance, she knew exactly what Allen intended—and far from rejecting it, she accepted it.
Allen lifted Kyoko's chin, making her look at him before kissing her. Kyoko wrapped her arms around Allen, pressing her large breasts against him.
His hands slid down from her waist to her shapely hips, and soon her nightgown fell to the floor as Allen guided her to the couch.
Once there, the passion intensified as Allen removed his own clothes, making Kyoko swallow hard.
Allen smirked before kissing the woman's neck. His hands grabbed her enormous breasts—fantasies of countless students and teachers—yet now they had an owner who had no intention of sharing.
Once Allen grew tired of teasing her, he prepared for the main course. While kissing her, he took Kyoko—this beautiful woman whose death in the original timeline robbed the world of her beauty.
"Ugh... Ah~"
....
The next morning, Shizuka woke up and the first thing she did was move her hands around, searching for Allen, but he was nowhere to be found.
Shizuka pouted as she sat up on the bed.
"Mou... What about my good morning kiss?"
Without knowing it, Shizuka had allowed Kyoko to get ahead of her simply by falling asleep.
She lay back down for another moment, sniffing the scent Allen had left behind. Shizuka wasn't a pervert—ever since she was young, her interest in both sex and relationships had been as flat as a potato.
This strange situation might have had to do with the fact that many of the men she'd met throughout her life only wanted her body—though Rika had always been there to beat them up.
Shizuka blushed as she remembered Allen's sleeping face.
"I know this isn't right... but..."
She slid her hand down to her intimate area, biting her lip.
"I can't control myself~"
....
After leaving Kyoko asleep, Allen decided to explore the area around them. Several scattered zombies lunged toward him as soon as they noticed him.
"Well, I need a lot of hearts anyway..."
He chuckled before swinging his hammer and beginning a massacre. After clearing the entire zone, he returned.
"Maybe I overdid it," Allen said as he looked at his blood-covered body.
He'd collected more than three hundred hearts in just a few hours. However, he was already exhausted—it wasn't wise to push himself too much, especially since he didn't know when someone might try to kill him, be it human or zombie.
Once back, he walked into the parking lot. Teruma and Teshima were already there washing the vehicles.
"Good morning, Allen," said Teruma.
"Hey. Looks like the old man got himself an assistant."
"Who are you calling old, brat?!" barked Teshima.
Allen ignored him and climbed onto the bus. It was empty since everyone had stayed in different apartments. As for Shimada, Allen still hadn't decided what to do with him. Keeping him prisoner wasn't ideal, but releasing him was complicated. Was that bastard really not going to do something stupid again?
After checking their supplies, Allen calculated that they had enough for a couple of weeks. Another important issue would be food, but it was better to settle somewhere before thinking about emptying nearby stores. There was also the possibility of evacuation.
Allen said goodbye to Teshima and Teruma. On his way back, he ran into Yui, who looked like she had slept like a rock—her hair was messy. When she saw Allen and then looked at herself, she screamed and ran to hide.
Allen laughed. He had women everywhere, and he knew they couldn't look like supermodels all the time. Beyond caring about that, he loved it when a woman showed him that side of herself.
Back in his apartment, Allen was greeted by Rei wearing an apron. She said she'd prepare breakfast for him; of course, Allen didn't refuse her kindness. Although, upon mentioning that Shizuka was still in her room, Allen quickly went to take a shower.
"Mm..." Rei pursed her lips.
She herself had gotten into his bed once, so she had no right to judge Shizuka, but she still felt jealous.
Allen got in the shower and washed himself.
The water ran down his skin, washing away the zombie blood that covered him.
"It's true... I have a deal to fulfill..."
....
What was once a hospital was now the base of a group of soldiers who had used the place as their headquarters.
"Dammit!"
The leader of these deserters threw a beer bottle against the wall. In front of him lay Koichi Shido, his teeth broken.
"Bastard! Didn't you say it would be easy?!" The leader stood up and kicked Shido again. "I lost ten men!"
"Ahh!"
He kept kicking Shido until he grew tired, then paced around the room.
"We have to go back there! We'll take everyone—we'll attack from different sides. They can't defend their whole perimeter. Once we break through, I want Soichiro Takagi's head... No! I want to keep him alive while I turn his wife and daughter into my bitches!"
The soldiers frowned. They had followed him to gain the freedom to do whatever they wanted, but fighting another armed group of survivors just to die wasn't what they had in mind.
Unfortunately, the leader was too agitated to notice the displeasure in his comrades' eyes.
"Bullshit!"
"Boss, calm down. All that anger will hurt you," one of his subordinates said, trying to stay positive. "We'll kill them all soon enough."
The leader stayed silent for a moment before punching the man, knocking him to the floor, then climbing on top of him and beating him ruthlessly.
"Bastard! Who do you think you are to tell me what to do?!"
His pent-up rage was unleashed on one of his own men. Every punch was worse than the last.
Teeth shattered, the jaw fractured, blood poured out—soon the soldier's face was unrecognizable, all while the others watched.
There are two ways, they say, to control bastards like these: one is earning their respect, and the other is making them fear you. The leader might have been insane, but none of them dared to disobey him.
"Listen up, get ready. We're going back to the mansion, and this time..."
*Bang*
The sound of a gunshot drew everyone's attention. No one understood who could be stupid enough to fire a weapon inside the camp — that would attract zombies.
A soldier burst through the door.
"Boss, we're under attack!"
"What?!"
....
(Moments before)
At the main gate, two soldiers were drinking beer while playing darts using a man who looked to be about sixty years old. Horribly, he was tied by his feet and hands while they drew a target on his stomach.
"Ah!"
The man screamed as another dart pierced him.
"Shit, I almost hit his crotch!"
"You're drunk! Let me show you how it's done!" The second soldier grabbed another dart and prepared to throw it. "The trick is knowing the direction of the wind and calculating the right amount of force..."
"I see..." Allen appeared right between them. "You guys have very unpleasant hobbies."
"Who are you?!" growled the soldier, about to grab his weapon, but he couldn't lift it. When he saw the reason, he turned pale. His hand had been cut off.
"Ahhhhh!"
"Damn it!" The second soldier tried to shoot Allen, but Allen kicked him so hard in the chest that he was sent flying. Then he turned toward the other soldier, who was still screaming on his knees.
Standing with a neutral expression, Allen ignored him and approached the old man. He pulled out his knife and cut the rope that held him down. The man could barely stand, but he managed to stay upright.
"I beg you!... Those beasts!... You must kill them!... Kill them all!"
There was nothing but hatred in the man's eyes — pure, intense hatred. One look into those bloodshot eyes was enough to know that whatever they had done to him was something you wouldn't wish even on your worst enemy.
"I am not an executioner...but I'm not a vigilante either"
Allen pulled a knife from his inventory and handed it to the man.
"If you want blood, go get it yourself..."
The man stared at the knife for a moment, grabbed it, and soon his gaze locked onto the soldier with the severed hand.
"No! Don't come near me! No!!"
The man lunged at the soldier and began stabbing him while cursing him.
Allen left him and entered the hospital...
Soldiers rushed out of their rooms, grabbing their weapons, ready to face the threat.
The first one to reach the entrance was shot in the chest and left stunned. He had only peeked out for an instant.
"Kill him."
The soldiers opened fire on Allen. Strangely, the rain of bullets didn't seem to affect him.
In response, Allen did the same — except each of his shots was precise, and one by one, the soldiers fell.
"What are you?!" screamed the last one. Before collapsing, he saw something that terrified him. It wasn't that Allen dodged the bullets, nor that they were too incompetent to hit him.
"Ugh... as expected, it hurts."
Allen stopped walking as the bullets fell from his body.
After two upgrades, his body could withstand low-caliber bullets, but they still hurt.
....
The leader ran to the CCTV room. When he entered, he found the two guards in charge of the cameras in shock.
"What's going on!?"
Neither of them could answer due to the shock. The leader wanted to yell at them, but he soon understood everything. From the security cameras, he saw something anxiety-inducing.
Two soldiers walked down a hallway and were ambushed — one was grabbed by the neck and thrown out the window. The second fired at point-blank range, but it didn't work; he received a kick that sent him through a wall.
In another camera, the same thing happened. They were ambushed — one took a punch that crushed his chest, leaving him agonizing. The second used a knife but was stopped by Allen's hand; Allen snatched it away and drove it into his abdomen. The third tried to run but tripped and fell down the stairs.
In another camera, a group of soldiers barricaded themselves behind a door with their weapons aimed at it, but Allen entered through the window.
Gunshots and screams filled the room, and one of the bullets broke the camera, so nothing else could be heard.
The leader gasped...
He had thought they were being attacked by another group of survivors — perhaps the JSDF, or maybe Soichiro Takagi — but that wasn't the case. The intruder was a monster. There was no way to explain how someone could infiltrate a military camp and annihilate all the soldiers with only his bare hands.
The leader stepped back and left the room. Before he realized it, he was running. But before turning the corner, the same young man from the cameras appeared, walking slowly with a bouquet of flowers in his hands.
The leader froze and tried to turn around, but it was too late — the flowers fell to the ground, revealing a shotgun.
"NOOO! WAIT! I'LL PAY YOU ANYTHING! I'LL GIVE YOU WOMEN! WHATEVER YOU WANT!"
"Before coming here, I had no intention of killing all of you. I didn't want to turn this place into a cemetery, but on my way here, I saw what you did..." Allen did not stop walking, each step weighing heavily on the military leader's heart, making him realize that he was facing death itself.
The men captured by the deserter soldiers had been turned into decorations, their heads placed on stakes to show what happened to their enemies.
The women... reduced to disposable toys...
"I won't let you go..." Allen said, pointing the shotgun at the leader, who had already pissed himself.
"No–"
....
Allen walked out and pulled out his phone, calling Soichiro.
"I completed my part of the deal, Soichiro."
"That was fast. I thought you would settle in first..."
"Things changed. It doesn't matter — there are no more soldiers causing trouble, but there are a few dozen survivors here."
"Alright..."
"Oh, you plan to accept them? To be honest, many of them are injured, both physically and mentally."
"I won't abandon them. They are Japanese citizens."
"I see. Well, see you soon."
"Yes. Take care of Saya and Yuriko."
"You don't need to tell me..."
Allen hung up and looked at the sky.
Allen did not broadcast what he saw at the place — it was far too horrifying. Even after everything he had witnessed, he was still shocked by how cruel a human being could be.
Among the "slaves," there had been a woman tied to a bed with several syringes in her arm, while the severed head of a child rested beside her.
And that had been just one room...
"Right now, the other Allen would've been better..."
Allen Void was far more cruel with his actions. He probably wouldn't have given them a quick death — he would have granted unimaginable pain before killing them.
[Torturing someone is a double-edged sword, or do you enjoy killing?]
"It's not something that makes me happy haha"
Allen looked up at the sky. Now he had something else to take care of.
...
For the next three days, Allen didn't go to the elementary school. Instead, he spent his time securing supply crates everywhere with the help of his group.
This allowed him to obtain many hearts and prepare himself — and everyone else.
Once everything was ready, they headed to the elementary school, but when they arrived, they couldn't believe what awaited them.
