Mount Osore, located in Aomori Prefecture.
The region where Mount Osore is situated experiences frequent volcanic activity, with a pervasive scent of sulfur in the air, and the entire area is filled with sand and rocks. The whole mountain is shrouded in the stench of sulfur, and the countless graves and burial mounds scattered across the mountain form a scene of desolate silence.
However, in such a place that can be described as eerie and terrifying, there are also beautiful scenes like "Jile Beach." The azure lake at the crater and the endless stretches of pure white sand compliment each other, presenting a tranquil landscape.
Perhaps because Mount Osore possesses both frightening and spectacular natural landscapes, this place is called a Spirit Mountain, and it is one of the three famous spiritual sites in Japan.
