Onizuka Tokotsume awakened in complete darkness.
She felt herself lying in a pool of water, her white robe and red hakama soaked through and clinging to her skin.
"Where am I?"
Onizuka fumbled as she got up from the ground, her movements causing noisy splashes of water.
She touched the talismans she always carried with her and, sure enough, the talisman papers were completely soaked, most of them crumpled.
However, although they were waterlogged, these talismans weren't entirely unusable.
They weren't that fragile yet.
In fact, with Onizuka's power, she could conjure talismans out of thin air using her own spiritual power, and freely use various Kikyo spell methods.
The reason she still carried talisman papers was mainly that activating spells with pre-prepared talisman papers was faster.
Additionally, using talisman paper as a medium for casting spells consumed less of her spiritual power than conjuring talismans out of thin air.
