Rod nodded, took the [Blood of Rebirth], and arrived at the Soul Wilderness.
After a long flight, he finally reached the outermost edge of the Soul Wilderness. It was boundlessly open and desolate, with nothing but dead silence in the darkness. The ashes of the giant stars were separated by vast distances, and the enormous bonfire of the [Eye of Divine] was just a dim and blurred speck of light in Rod's vision.
But the darkness here was different from the one outside; it was a lightless black, serene and peaceful, like a mother's embrace. The outside darkness was twisted and terrifying, filled with a ferocious aggression that instilled fear.
The ashes of the [Sacrifice] lay quietly beneath such darkness. They did not appear large, at least much smaller than those of the [Eye of Divine]. The ashes were just an ordinary gray, with nothing unusual about them.
However, Rod knew this was the key star in determining whether he could ascend to the status of True King.
