Chapter 28 - Chapter 28 Arrival at Rogue Town

Before Bellmère could speak, Lan Luo stepped forward and said, "Aunt Bellmère, this is a Sea Kings I just caught. Gather the villagers, and we'll have a feast tonight."

Hearing this, Bellmère took the cigarette out of her mouth and leaned in to take a look, saying, "No problem, Lan Luo. You seem to have gotten stronger after a few months." She then turned to Nojiko and said, "Tell everyone to come and carry the Sea Kings' meat."

Nojiko, who had also intended to approach, paused and said, "Then I'll go!" With that, she skipped towards the Village, shouting, "Lan Luo is here with meat again! Everyone come out and help carry it! We're having a feast tonight!"

Seeing Nojiko leave, Lan Luo stepped closer and quietly asked Bellmère, "Ah Jian still hasn't confessed to you?"

Hearing this, Bellmère's face flushed with embarrassment, but Nami excitedly exclaimed, "I know, I know! Last time Uncle Ah Jian drank too much, and I don't know what he said, but then Bellmère pinned him against the wall! Then Ah Jian ran home in a hurry, his face very red. Brother Lan Luo, that was a 'wall-pin,' right? You taught Bellmère that last time."

Lan Luo and Kuina couldn't help but burst into laughter, saying, "Bellmère is such a loser, she can't even handle Ah Jian." They clapped their hands while mocking her.

Bellmère, her face red with embarrassment, declared nonchalantly, "Trying to escape my grasp? No way."

With that, the group walked towards the Village, chatting and laughing.

At the feast that night, when Lan Luo saw Ah Jian arrive, head bowed and face flushed, he burst out laughing. The villagers, prompted by Lan Luo's laughter, also started laughing.

Ah Jian, showing his shark teeth, roared at Lan Luo, "Lan Luo, don't make fun of me as soon as you arrive in the Village, you scoundrel!"

Lan Luo and everyone else paused, then their laughter grew even louder.

Bellmère also stepped forward and patted Lan Luo. This person always made fun of Ah Jian whenever he visited, and now the whole Village knew about their relationship. But Ah Jian always just turned crimson and felt too embarrassed.

Lan Luo then raised his glass to the villagers and shouted, "Bellmère said to get Ah Jian drunk, she's going to make a move!" He then burst into laughter again.

Seeing Ah Jian grow even more embarrassed, the villagers also laughed and shouted, "Get Ah Jian drunk!"

The villagers were very happy that night because of Lan Luo's arrival. When the Pirate Crew attacked their Village before, it was Lan Luo who saved them. When they encountered Captain Nezumi, it was also Lan Luo and Nami who reported him in Loguetown. The villagers were very grateful to Lan Luo, and they felt relieved about Nami going to sea with Lan Luo, though they were a little reluctant to see her go.

Finally, Ah Jian and everyone else got drunk, knowing that future feasts with their benefactor might be a long time coming. The common people of the Pirate World were still kind.

That night, Lan Luo and Nami escorted Bellmère and Ah Jian back to their rooms.

The next day, Nami, Lan Luo, and Kuina quietly boarded their small boat before anyone else woke up. As the tiny boat sailed away from Cocoyasi Village, the shore was lined with villagers. When Nami saw Bellmère, Nojiko, and Ah Jian among the crowd, tears streamed down her face uncontrollably. Lan Luo, unable to bear the sight of such parting, could only step forward and gently embrace her, preventing Nami from appearing too disheveled in front of the villagers.

At this moment, Nami suddenly shouted towards the crowd, "Everyone, please take good care of yourselves!"

Lan Luo saw Bellmère, Nojiko, Ah Jian, and many villagers waving goodbye with tears in their eyes.

With a navigator, there was no longer a need to constantly correct the course as before. Lan Luo, whether from the original story or from personal experience, always believed Nami to be the most capable.

After three days of sailing, Lan Luo and his group finally arrived at the Beginning and End of the Sea, Loguetown.

Upon arriving, Lan Luo told Nami and Kuina, "Nami, you and Kuina go explore together. Although Smoker is on the island, I'm still worried about those reckless pirates."

He then said to Kuina, "I'm going to the weapon shop to buy two weapons. Once you've finished shopping, meet back on the ship. Buy plenty of supplies and have them delivered to the ship."

After all, both of them now possessed Life Return, so their daily energy consumption was relatively high.

Soon after, Lan Luo headed to a weapon shop. After searching several, he finally sensed something in a shop not far from the execution platform.

Walking into the shop, Lan Luo went directly to the sandai kitetsu. The sword looked strange among a pile of scrap metal, with a red cord tied to a black hilt. The tsuba was made of brass, and most unusually, the clear blade was covered with purple patterns, giving it an eerie feeling at first glance.

The weapon shop owner, sensing the moment, said, "Customer, that's a 50,000 Berries weapon, not fitting for your status." The owner looked at the well-dressed young man, planning to make him spend a lot. Such young men were the easiest to trick on the high seas.

Lan Luo didn't speak, as if he hadn't heard, and walked straight over to pick up the sandai kitetsu. The moment he held the cursed sword, Lan Luo activated his Mangekyo Sharingan, analyzing the process of its forging. A pair of red eyes reflected on the clear blade. Through his analysis, Lan Luo discovered that there was a spirit within this sword, likely the will of a certain swordsman. If you are stronger than the sword's original owner, it will submit to you, but if you are weaker, it will devour its master. This sword has a spirit.

Lan Luo also mimicked Zoro's method, throwing the sandai kitetsu upwards, extending his arm. As the blade spun and fell, it completely avoided Lan Luo's arm.

This scene greatly astonished the weapon shop owner. Lan Luo stepped forward, pulled out the sword that was stuck in the ground with only its hilt showing, and said, "I didn't expect it to acknowledge me so easily. How much is this sword, boss?"

Hearing this, the owner stammered in reply, "C-c-customer, this s-s-sword is a g-gift for you."

Lan Luo said nothing more, simply took a million Berries from his pocket, slapped it on the table, and turned to leave. However, the owner only reacted then, shouting loudly, "Please wait a moment!"

When Lan Luo returned to the shop, the owner hastily went upstairs, retrieved an exquisite wooden box, placed it on the table, and gently opened the sword case. Inside lay a sword with both its scabbard and blade a pristine white.

The owner solemnly said, "Please, customer, you must accept this sword. The blade is a black lacquered tachi, the hamon is a irregular choji, and the scabbard is exquisite and ornate. It is one of the fifty Ryo Wazamono. Please, you must accept it; it will echo across the entire sea with your name."

Lan Luo did not refuse the owner's request. He simply accepted the yubashiri, though he didn't think much of it. It lacked any unique qualities and would only develop a clear will after being tempered with the will within Haki during its nurturing. The cursed sword, however, was different. He had stored it away, and it could be given to Nami or Zoro in the future.
