Chapter 88 - Chapter 85

"-And how's the training going?" Kuroko asked as she leaned on me. "I see that Midoriya is a lot more chipper nowadays."

"It's going well enough." I replied as I leaned on her. "His progressing recently, although it would be better if he doesn't break his bones every now and then. And how about you? Training going well?"

She hummed in thought. "I suppose that it's good enough. I've set my usual goals of increasing my speed and weight limit. The distance I can reach is already satisfactory for the most part, any more is an extravagance." She put up her hands and started squeezing me.

"W-wait! That tickles!" I couldn't help the giggling escape me but Kuroko kept a serious expression.

"You're not really training, are you? Your body is still squishy."

"You know I'm literally unable to build muscle." 'Or get taller apparently.' was left unsaid. I wasn't pouting. "And I am training. Just focusing on precision and coordination with my heads."

"Don't worry about that! I never said I hated it! And besides, I love how you come in cuddle-size!" To prove her point, she pulled me in and wrapped both arms and legs around me. "See?"

"I'm not a plush toy!" I wasn't blushing!

...Though, even if I did say that, I'm not making any action of escaping it either.

Thank the Gods that we're sitting at the roof of U.A. main building in the middle of the night. No is here to see this.

"Of course not! You're my cuddle-sized boyfriend! The plush you is in my room." She laughed.

"Wait, what plu-"

"And speaking of training." She definitely did that in purpose. That grin says it all. "The class reps of my class and the class reps of your class have decided to create a joint training program."

"They did? Since when?"

"Just this afternoon. The idea came to me when one of the girls asked for help in getting stronger so I brought up the idea to my vice rep, Yaoyorozu."

"I guess that sounds good. I'll see whether a part of my schedule opens up." Turning my head around, I met her eyes. "Y'know, I thought for sure you'd run for either of those positions."

"And deal with all that paperwork? Oh please, I'd have enough of that from Judgment. I'd rather have a break from all that bureaucracy for once and focus on other matters."

"Ah, that makes sense. Not having to worry about paperwork certainly gave me a lot more free time." I agreed with her. "Lots more opportunities to practice and hone our skills, right?"

She chuckled as her grip on me got tighter. Her hands began snaking their way under my clothes.

"...Right?"

~~~~~~
The day after, when classes ended, Kendo and Tokage wanted every to stay behind just a little longer for an announcement. So when Kan-sensei left, everyone stayed in their seats as the class rep and her vice came up to the podium.
"Thanks for being patient, everyone." Kendo started. "I know we all have our plans so I'll keep this short. Me and Set spoke to the class reps of 1-A and- Sit down, Monoma!"
Monoma visibly wanted to say something but Tokage's floating hands kept his mouth shut. Left with not much choice, the blonde boy huffed in disgruntlement and sat back down, eyes promising rebuttal at first chance he gets. No one really batted an eye to his antics, as we're pretty much used to them by now.
"As I was saying." Kendo continued, side-eyeing Monoma. "We spoke to the class reps of 1-A and came to an idea for a joint training practice. We'd mostly be helping each out and seeing any interesting quirk interactions and synergies. For anyone interested, we be over at mock city number two, the one used in the entrance exams. We already have permission from the school staff to use it and we also don't have to worry about the damages since the entire place is built to be a replica."
"Quick heads up though." Tokage spoke up. "We'll be meeting the other class in an hour so anyone interested should get changed into something comfortable, wouldn't wanna ruin our uniforms, yeah? With that said, is there anyone who doesn't want to participate for some reason or another?"
A few hands shot up.
"Apologies. As much as I would like to partake, practicing with my quirk can be dangerous to the people around me as my cognitive abilities diminish inversely proportional to my strength." Explained Shishida.
"(^~^;)ゞI'm gonna be messing around with niche onomatopoeia to see what happens. Can't really guarantee safety when I don't know the results..." Manga sheepishly said.
"My quirk's too messy and I'd rather not disturb anyone..." Bondo shyly explain.
"Actually, Bondo-kun." Honenuki interjected. "I wanted to work with you, see how our quirks could synergize." Bondo perked up at that as Honenuki turned back to Kendo. "Plus, I'm in the same boat as him. My quirk would be more in the way of you guy's training."
"It's fine." Kendo nodded. "This program is optional, no one's forcing attendance. Anyone else not coming?"
Kinoko shakily brought her hand up. "I, um... The same reason as the others?..."
"Noted." Kendo scanned the rest of the class for anyone else that wouldn't be attending. I felt her gaze linger on me just for a second longer before moving away again. "Alright, I see you guys there, then."
"Oh, and one last thing." Said Tokage as she took out a notebook and pen. "Write down you contact info before you leave. We kinda need it for student council stuff."
The class broke up filtered out the door in groups, but not before writing down their info. I went out a window and flew back to the doors. While I'm the air, I took out my phone and was about to message Midoriya about it but upon opening my messages he already had me beat.
He was asking about whether it was fine to change things up a bit and train with other people. He said something about it being heroes working together and connections but I just replied in curt agreement.
An hour later, I found myself wearing a comfortable purple tracksuit along with my usual head and neck accessories. In deliberately taking my time casually, I wasn't surprised that there was already plenty of people in attendance by the time I arrived.
Looking from above, I admit, it was a bit uncanny to finally see what the 1-A class looked like in real life than what they appeared from the anime and manga, but then again, it's been decades since I saw that so what I'm feeling might also just be the disassociation of knowing who they are without actually knowing them.
Seeing my class and Kuroko's class trying to interact is... Something, at least.
Kendo is handling herself with what sounds to be the class rep and vice of 1-A by herself. Her vice rep, Tokage, is currently associating herself with a pink-skinned girl, another girl with a perpetual blush, and an invisible girl. Awase and Tsuburaba seemed to take like a fish in the water to a boy with a lightning bolt design on his hair and one with balls for hair. Monoma is restrained by Ibara's hair. Standing next to them was a few other boys from our sister class watching on as Tetsutetsu and his lookalike started doing bodybuilder poses....
Yeah, I stopped looking around after that.
Instead, I flew down and landed next to Yanagi who passively staring at everyone else. She glanced at me and gave a subtle nod towards a certain direction. What I saw made me grin a little; Kuroiro was timidly trying to approach a bird-headed boy while fidgeting with his hands. It looks like he was trying to make a new friend for some reason which made me sharing a look with the pale girl and the two of us brought out our phones to record it.
Up until someone actually approached us.
"Hey, you two look lonely." A tall blonde guy came up to us and slicked back his hair. "Would either of you be interested in going out this weekend?"
"We can show you gals around." The other blonde boy with a lightning bolt design on his hair continued while doing finger guns. "I know a cool arcade nearby."
From behind the two, I can see Awase and Tsuburaba snickering like idiots in the background.
"If not, then how about a meal?" A third voice spoke. I looked down and saw the midget with balls for hair. "Whaddya say? My treat." I felt a shiver going down my spine as he said that. Those eyes of his are just... wrong. And from the looks of it, Yanagi had the same unfortunate experience as we communicated with our eyes.
'Nope!' Was our unspoken consensus.
"Not interested!" "I'm not into guys!" Our answers overlapped as the two of us never backpedalled from a conversation so fast.
Watching the two cuties retreat, I let out a groan. "Ugh! Really thought we had them this time!" This sucked. Getting isekai'd into the best anime ever --Anyone who says otherwise is clearly stupid--, getting a cheat quirk, being tall and handsome and I STILL couldn't get a girlfriend! Seriously, what am I doing wrong?!
"You tell me, dude." Said Kaminari, smiling even when he is equally dejected. "We already got shot down by the girls in our class, we'd probably get shot down by the girls in their class too."
"Denki! Don't give up, man!" I have to cheer up my best friend. A mopey Kaminari is such a pain. I am NOT listening to sad songs on repeat for twelve hours. Never again. "It only counts as a failure if you give up halfway! Remember the school motto; Plus Ultra!"
He perked up. "Yeah! Plus Ultra!"
"Are you two seriously ignoring the glaring info we just got?!" Mineta screamed. Becoming friends with him back in middle school was more of an accident but I managed to steer him on the right path, mostly. "The Redhead just admitted that she was gay!"
"Wha-" "Wait-"
"You know what this means?!"
"""YURI!"""
~~~

"How long do you think until they find out?" Awase elbowed Tsuburaba while holding back a laugh.

"Long enough." He replied, also trying to his his chuckles. "A thousand yen on Shuzenji snapping and blasting them off?"

"Aight, bet." Awase readily agreed. "Those poor idiots." He said while watching at the now dubbed 'Three perverts' of their sister class talk to each other about increasingly perverted topics.

~~~
A few minutes after... That, Yanagi and I had a silent agreement to keep the girls away from those guys. It was then that the training finally began after the last confirmed member arrived.
The joint training program began in earnest.
Some had taken to Kendo and Rin for martial arts foundation building, others tried for more control like Yanagi and Tokage, a few have moved further away from others for much needed space or to avoid implications like Ibara or that one rigid speedster, most have simply taken for a more basic game of attacking and defending to hone their skills.
One of them, Monoma, is approaching other people --Strictly ones from our class presumably to borrow and practice with their quirks.
It has been eating away at the corners of mind, so without further a do, I step forward in his direction.
"Monoma,-" He flinched and hesitantly turned around. "-We need to talk." I gestured my head towards one of the alleyways in the mock city.
He gulped and nodded before we began walking.
We paused halfway through the alley. Monoma is looking nervous despite hiding behind that usual smirk on his face.
"Look-" I began with a soft sigh. "-I-" "I'm sorry."
He cut in and went first. "I didn't know what it was I did wrong, but I would still like to apologise. I'm sorry."
"No." I placed a hand on his shoulder to stop him from bowing. "I'm the one who should apologise, not you. I admit that got upset but what happened was that I overreacted. It wasn't right."
"No, but you were clearly shaken by the experience-"
"You poked me, Monoma." I interrupted him this time. "You didn't try shoving a knife at my throat or put a bullet through my skull, you literally just poked me. Shaken or not, it doesn't excuse my behaviour. What happened was clearly a fault on my behalf."
He's not making an attempt to speak, simply looking at me with an unreadable expression. So I continued. "Look, I... I have issues, alright? Just don't touch my head."
I didn't wait for a response.
I just flew away.
