Selena Kensington felt Sterling Norwood's breath drawing closer to her.
He stood very close behind her, close enough to almost touch her back.
Selena had a bit of difficulty looking up, watching as Sterling easily reached out with one hand to take down the pack of waffles she had been unable to grab.
Selena turned around joyfully, only to find herself crashing into Sterling's arms.
"Mmm..."
She lowered her eyes slightly, suddenly realizing she was wrapped in Sterling's embrace.
With one hand holding the pack of waffles he had just taken down, he propped his other hand against the shelf beside Selena's face.
Selena looked up, only to gaze into those deep, azure depths.
Before Selena had time to react, Sterling raised the pack of waffles to block their faces.
He loosened one side of his mask and reached out to remove Selena's mask as well.
Then he bent down and kissed her.
Selena was slightly stunned, then she gently tilted her head up to respond to him.
