She wore a scarf, with a thin layer of tiny droplets perched on her long eyelashes.
She looked unusually appealing.
However, Bernard Gray wasn't in the mood to admire her at the moment. With a composed face, he reached out to touch her clothes.
The chill was biting.
"You've been standing here?!"
Yumi Stewart bit her lip in silence.
Seeing that she didn't intend to say more, Bernard Gray, exasperated, reached out and wiped the mist from her eyelashes.
The warmth of his large hand against her nearly frozen skin was especially comforting.
"Why are you so foolish?!"
Bernard Gray's actions weren't gentle, tinged with a bit of annoyance.
Yet Yumi felt a surge of warmth in her heart.
She looked up at the man who was a head taller than her and quietly said, "Thank you."
Bernard Gray looked down at her sternly, "Don't say this to me again, Yumi."
Yumi tugged at her lips, the solid and unyielding wall she had always held against Bernard Gray seemed to be slowly crumbling.
