Cherline Lindsey clearly heard on the phone that this mother and daughter were having a verbal spat.
She rarely responded one by one, "I'm doing well, eating well, sleeping well, occasionally thinking of you all."
"My eldest daughter is always the best, so considerate!"
Ella Lacey was elated and finally got to the main point, "Cherline, we all know about your success in A City. I heard that you not only graduated as the top student, becoming the heroine in everyone's eyes, but also got a promotion directly to the Team Leader department, that's amazing! You are mommy's pride!~~"
"Also my pride~" Little Clarissa rushed over, proudly chiming in.
"There's still room for improvement," Cherline humbly said.
"It's already incredible, you've left all of us far behind, and when your mom was your age, she was so silly and clueless, miles behind you."
Ella Lacey praised her daughter highly, speaking from the heart.
But Cherline didn't like hearing such groundless compliments.
