Anna Ainsworth shyly nodded her head. Though she and Jeremy Thompson were not yet married, news of her pregnancy was already well known. Although society was more open now, the concept of being a pregnant bride was still somewhat embarrassing for her.
"Oh, come on, don't be embarrassed! Your pregnancy is a joyous occasion, and everybody is happy for you. Those past five years must have been so hard on you."
Gale Summer joked with Anna, "Besides, in current society, it's fashionable to board the ship and then buy the ticket, haven't you seen how many celebrities and socialites are visibly pregnant when they get married?"
Gale shouldn't have mentioned it; it only made Anna more embarrassed. She was unsure how to respond when suddenly Xaviar dashed over excitedly.
"Anna, there you are! I've been looking everywhere for you," Xaviar ran straight over, failing to notice that Anna was holding Thea, and almost knocked her over, giving Anna quite the fright.
