Chapter 218 - Cleaning Up Sacred Shelter

Sky Path Emperor was unleashed his strongest attack, The Sword That Sunders The Skies.

"Die, you beast!"

Even the invincible Dragon Imprisonment Lock was cracked by his attack. He fully expected the Minotaur to be cut in half.

Yet, reality came crashing down like a bucket of cold water over his head.

"It didn't go all the way through?"

His attack was the strongest that made contact, yet it only drew blood from his foe.

Sky Path Emperor was shocked, but he soon recovered.

'If one slash didn't work, then a hundred will.'

At some point, the sky over his head darkened. Sky Path Emperor saw a large, dark purple cauldron swallowing up the whole world.

His head screamed danger. He turned into a sword light, moving extremely fast to avoid the mountain-sized Cauldron.

The crescent-shaped sword light was very fast, but it couldn't escape before the cauldron slammed into the earth.

Bang!

The sword slash struck the Purple Cauldron and bounced back, revealing the form of Sky Path Emperor.

"Roar!!"

"Roarrrrr!"

Several roars, screeches, and screams erupted.

Sky Path Emperor saw an ethereal whirl swirling around all the creatures present. They were all super creatures, yet each one seemed to be struggling against the seemingly gentle wave.

A Red Ape was slow to react and use its powers to fight back against the whirl. The sound of bones breaking was audible for everyone to hear.

The only ones unaffected were the Minotaur, No Light Emperor, and Sky Path Emperor himself.

"The Minotaur!"

A pure black fume was rising from its injuries. The black fume made the darkness powers of No Light Emperor look as bright as the sun in comparison.

It wasn't healing its injuries, no, this was much worse.

Pang!

The invincible Dragon Imprisonment Lock snapped where it held down the Minotaur's arm.

Then he used his free arm to break the chains around his neck.

Sky Path Emperor couldn't believe his eyes. The Dragon Imprisonment Lock held down a berserk super dragon for over a thousand years.

Outsiders might be able to remove or damage it like he did, but the imprisoned shouldn't be able to even move, let alone break it.

"Impossible, this is impossible!"

The super creatures were already holding back the powers trying to crush them; now they had to strike Tyrant too before he fully escaped.

Even No Light Emperor joined in. Only Sky Path Emperor turned to face the purple wall of the cauldron.

"It's useless, your attacks will just make him stronger, which will free him faster."

He talked to himself as he used the Sundering Sword attack multiple times on the cauldron.

"Hahaha!"

He laughed like a madman. He could only leave white scratches on the wall of the cauldron.

If he kept attacking this way, wouldn't it take him a million years to break free?

"Roarrr!"

The scream of the Minotaur meant he was one step closer to his demise.

"Curse this light, if only it wasn't around."

It was no surprise at this time that the spirit knew the dangers of this weird universal indigo light.

Even if they were in their hall, staring at their spirit stones, if they died in it, they would die permanently.

The Emperor Spirit had a look of madness and desperation in his eyes. He, who had ascended through bloodshed and slaughter, refused to be killed like a chicken here.

"The ground, yes, the ground. I'll dig under and outside."

A gleam of hope appeared in his eyes. In front of an Emperor Spirit, the earth made way like clay.

"So you're the smartest one in there."

A mocking voice echoed from the outside.

Sky Path Emperor didn't need to guess to realise it was the man seated on the dark horse who used Empty Powers.

Ever since the weird indigo light started appearing, some spirits removed their spirit stones since their immortality was no longer guaranteed.

Sky Path Emperor and No Light Emperor were among the spirits to do so. That was the only reason they had not been blown up by the madman who was speaking.

'This cauldron must belong to him, that's how he can see what is happening inside.'

Sky Path Emperor gritted his teeth, but he didn't dare slow down. With every voice that disappeared behind him, terror gripped his heart like an iron vice.

He was digging close to the wall; he soon found where the cauldron stopped.

Before he could feel an ounce of relief, he felt his internal organs burst open.

"Blergh!"

He hurriedly used his internal powers to fight back against the swirling currents around him before they crushed his bones.

'I thought it only worked on creatures.'

Sky Path Emperor was incensed, but he had to survive. He had already dug past the edge of the cauldron; escape was right before him.

"Sky Path, save me~"

No Light Emperor cried out before he was blown up into bits. Upon closer inspection, the pieces were actually more like a solid shadows. The shadow bits quickly reformed but were blown up before they could take shape.

Again and again, he had no chance to reform or even dodge. A dark enclosure like this was his element, and yet he was utterly suppressed.

Pang!

"What, what is this!"

There was an invisible wall at the edge of the cauldron's mouth.

It was like a giant invisible lid for the cauldron.

Sky Path Emperor understood that there would be a force field there, but he never expected what happened when he attacked it.

The force of his attack dissipated. It was evenly shared to all parts of the cauldron.

"I would have to break the entire cauldron to break the bai sema? I would have a better chance breaking down the walls."

Sky Path Emperor collapsed to his knees and gave a short, mirthless laugh. Behind him was nothing but silence.

He gritted his teeth while on his knees and faced the purple wall.

"If you kill me, Six Paths Emperor won't let this go."

Bang!

Tyrant landed behind him.

He heard the voice from the other side calmly say.

"Six Paths Emperor... who is that?"

Then his body was blown up with a halberd strike.

***

On the outside, Bian had collected all the life essences strewn about.

He commanded the cauldron to flip itself over.

Tyrant jumped out with several super geno cores.

As soon as they left the cauldron, they turned to beams of light and went into his soul sea.

"I've troubled you a lot."

Bian said to Tyrant.

It seemed after fusing with the substance from the Black Crystal, Tyrant had regained his original powers, which allowed him to get stronger the more he was damaged.

However the power was different now, more profound in a way Bian was yet to fully understand.

And this was excluding his Juggernaut Shift state, which compressed his body to be indestructible and unstoppable.

Tyrant looked Bian in the eyes and grunted. He returned back to his sea of soul to recover.

'His powers has really changed though, he was bending—no, breaking reality with brute force. That was how he was able to escape the Dragon Imprisonment Lock. If not, he would have relied on the Juggernaut Shift to break free.'

Alongside the ten life essences in the cauldron, Bian tossed in eight more. All the super creatures were killed by Tyrant, while most of the spirits were done in by Bian, by proxy of their stones of course.

The majority of the creatures escaped, but that was to be expected. He was grateful Tyrant was insightful enough to set a trap and catch ten after already killing eight.

Ten super beast souls meant 450 souls in the soul counter. Bian had no need for these beast souls as he could make up for them with the geno cores he acquired.

There were swords, spears, armours, and even a flying platform. He had amassed a different variety of geno cores from all levels today.

"The Super Cauldron is overpowered."

Bian said in sheer delight. A creature couldn't leave the cauldron once it entered unless it shattered the whole thing.

Even Tyrant's halberd shadow only left shallow scratches on the walls of the Super Cauldron.

'Well those were just the aftereffects of his attacks and not a direct hit though.'

One of the best things now was Bian had absolute control over the Cauldron. All the life essences inside were refined separately at the same time.

It was like the cauldron was suddenly upgraded with a multiprocessor, becoming capable of refining multiple items asynchronously.

He could also activate the currents to crush anything inside the Cauldron, although they were not refinable.

He went around the shelter picking up the bodies of the creatures around. He gathered at least twenty of each rank—ordinary, primitive, mutant, and sacred-blood—from the massive area that had been destroyed by the one-off beast soul.

He paid special attention to pick up enough mutant and sacred-blood bodies especially.

By the time Bian tossed it all in the Super Cauldron and looked at it, he saw over a hundred whirlpools, each refining a separate item.

He beamed a satisfied smile and returned the Cauldron to his sea of soul.

The sun was already setting, and most of his day was spent cleaning up and scavenging rather than on the actual battle.

Bian couldn't help but feel a bit wistful as he gazed at the massively empty shelter.

Some creatures were hiding, but he couldn't be bothered with them.

A lot of the creatures that escaped were heading to the other shelter he had noticed had a large number of scary lifeforms.

"I doubt eighteen life essences would go around between me and Han Yan. If they want to gather to make it easier to pick them off later on, that's better for me." Bian laughed.

At this time, he felt the unique powers of the Dongxuan Sutra, Jadeskin, Blood-Pulse Sutra, and Falsified-Sky Sutra.

"That must be Han Yan."

Nightmare turned into a streak of lightning, leaving behind a desolate shelter. Even if it was repopulated, it would only be a shadow of its former glory.
