Old age hadn't started yet for me, at least not yet, i was only 45 yet i still wondered how whitebeard even walked after a while. The party's bar was full of life, but no one seemed to notice me as i sat in the corner of the room, and only until the man i was waiting for walked in did i get a reaction. The red haired man stopped dead in his tracks his crew stopping behind him, a long black coat trailed behind him and his hair flew as he turned to me.
"Drakon san! How are you here!"
"Wahaha hello you little brat, Shanks!"
"Hahahaha, i haven't seen you since Roger was executed"
"Aye twas a sad time!"
I ordered three or four bottles of rum and beckoned Shanks to sit down and that's when the sound of little footsteps came from the other room, and i wasn't surprised when i saw Luffy run straight for shanks, jumping onto the stool next to him asking for stories and when he can join the crew. It played out just like in the anime until i intervened.
"Say little one, if Shanks won't take you, join my crew, i will train you!"
"You must be crazy Drakon san, he's just a nuisance!"
"No he is much more!"
The boy grinned at that showing his teeth. A knocking sound meant that the bandits were here, but i wanted to speed things up so i knocked them out with conquerors before they could cause anymore trouble. Luffy was looking at me in awe, clearly seeing the lines of crimson fading from my eyes .
"Will you teach me that Drakon!"
"All in good time Luffy, Wahahaha!"
The days and months went by and Luffy lived with me as he trained everyday and after a while i couldn't do anything about adding Ace to the training program, because Luffy was always running after that kid. Ace was smart, and a good fighter too, it was always funny when them too sparred. However, on one fine morning as I got up and woke the boys too, everything did a u turn, because as i set foot onto our training ground my gaze was met by one, with pure hatred, a former opponent, one that almost killed me, the hero of the marines, Monkey D Garp.
"Oh no Drakon san this is-" Luffy began
"Garp, your grandad, we've met, and I see Garp that your hands are as soft as ever wahahaha, you can't take me that easily, not this time!"
Soul Reaper buzzed in it's sheath, the same buzz it made 25 years ago, and it was finally time for revenge, the blade lit up with fire and it burned an even brighter red as a mix of conquerors and armament creeped up its long blade. The long coat i was wearing was tossed to the ground, and with a familiar thunk, the blade of soul reaper rested on my shoulder, ready to hack down anyone or anything in my path. My stats were no longer puny, if i wanted to i could be the pirate king, but i want to know how this all ends, first hand!
"You brat, my fists will be your demise!" roared Garp.
"Wahahahaha, try me!"
I jabbed forwards slicing Garp's, fist as it moved to parry the attack, my haki beating his as a thin line, squirted blood down Garp's arm. The look of shock on his face was priceless as i moved further with each slash, Garp retreated even further back. Seeing my prey weakened i slashed downwards but the attack was parried, and we both went flying backwards. I was getting tired of the repetitiveness of the fight so i decide to go big, i wanted to end this fight that i started 25 years ago. Letting my sword touch the sand behind me, i sprinted forward at breakneck speed, the friction causing soul reaper to leave behind a trail of fire as i slashed upwards, cutting into Garp's chest, and i felt the buzzing in my sword fade as Garp's blood nourished Soul reaper's blade.
We both locked eyes and sent waves of conquerors out, but in Garp's weakened state i overpowered him within seconds.
"Luffy dreams to be a prate, so dos Ace, so le them be who they want, won't show your face here again Garp, next time I won't be so lenient!"
