Chapter 7 - Part 1(Foxfire)

Sophie's POV

A/N Fitz is Italic, Sophie is underline

Are you okay?

Jeez! You freaked me out! But yeah I'm fine.

Ok. I just wanted to make sure you were okay. See you tomorrow at Foxfire!

Bye! After severing our connection I went downstairs to check on Verdi. As soon as I got outside I heard roaring and changed course toward the Gorgondon, where it was probably feeding time.

"Need a hand?" I asked as I neared the pen. Even though the Gorgondon could be ridden didn't mean that it liked to eat a vegetarian diet.

"Nah, we're almost done," Grady replied as he threw two purple fruits into the Gorgodons mouth and wiped his hands. "First one that he hasn't spit at me," Grady said, "Want to come with me to Mysterium? I have to get some of the things Elwin sent me."

"I'm going to check on Silveny and Greyfell," I said.

"Ok, well don't push yourself too much, you're going to have an interesting school day tomorrow," he said as he pulled out his Pathfinder.

"What do you mean?" I asked, practically begging.

"Can't tell you, but since you haven't read my mind, I'll tell you though it's about your new friends," he said as he glittered away. What was going to happen at school? Hopefully, we won't have to do dragon fighting, or maybe it would be riding, a drakon.

"Come on Ms. Foster," Sandor said, shaking me out of my daze, "Weren't you just going to check on the alicorns?" I nodded and started toward where they usually were. After a long time of trying to convince Silveny to tell Wynn and Luna to stay away from the Gorgodon. All she responded with was BABY STRONG! BABY STRONG!

I went inside and was about to get all my school supplies when Edaline said, "Lunch is ready!" When I got to the kitchen Grady was already eating.

"You guys didn't wait for me?" I asked, pretending to be hurt.

"Got to be out in the field," he replied. I sat down and started to eat. As soon as I finished all my food I helped Edaline make dinner.

While I was mashing up some leaves, she asked," So, what's going on with you and Fitz?" I groaned, wishing he hadn't leaped with me here. It had been a sweet gesture but Edaline had already asked her about me and Fitz so many times I lost count. On the bright side, Grady wasn't around when Fitz dropped me off, and Edaline hadn't told him yet.

"I have to finish getting my stuff," I said as I poured the grounded-up leaves into the pot. She just laughed as I rushed out of the room with Sandor following behind.

Fitz's POV

As soon as I went inside the glowing pyramid Magnate Leto told us that we would have a fighting lesson. He also explained how Percy and Annabeth would be staying. Shockingly he explained what he knew about demigods. As soon as Sophie came over we started walking toward the Universe.

"Great, here comes my next D-," said Percy as soon as he saw all the star charts. I just laughed as we all sat down. After an hour of remembering star charts and bottling starlight, we were free.

"Hey, guys!" Keefe said as we sat down, "Percy, could you help me out here? I already got one Muskog in place."

"I already got the Selkie skin in two places and placed 15 Imps with some of those supplies you got me," Percy replied as Keefe crossed some places off the map.

"Great!" Keefe said as he rolled up the map, "We should have this done before by the end of the day!"

"You realize your gonna get detention before the end of the week," I said as we all started eating our food. After our plates were clear Percy and Annabeth gave a more detailed version of what had happened on his journeys. Somewhere in between, I found my hand tangled in Sophie's. After Percy had finished explaining his encounter the bells sounded, signaling the end of lunch. I checked my schedule and smiled. My next class was Telepathy.

"Well see you at the new class," Dex and Biana said as they rushed off toward the greenhouses. Once we reached telepathy I saw that Tiergan was already there. He smiled as we sat down.

"Hi, Tiergan! we both said in unison.

"We're going to have a little fun," he said as he pulled out a blue Pathfinder and motioned for us to join him. As soon as I stepped through the light I saw that we were in what looked like an underground control center. Sophie gasped as she saw it.

"It's an arcade!" she said happily as Tiergan gave each of us a rectangular card. "They are sort of like money," Tiergan explained as Sophie dashed off. "Just ask Sophie," he said as I went after her. After an explanation of how to play, we inserted our cards into the machine. After Sophie got destroyed ten times I ended up with some tickets that I could spend in the shop.

"Thanks, Tiergan!" we both said in unison, heading for the door. After we reached the library we stopped.

"Okay, I know I haven't been getting you any gifts lately so I bought one yesterday," I explained as I handed her a box with teal wrapping. "Do you like it?" I asked nervously

"What are you doing?" asked Keefe as Sophie hastily put the gift away.

"Nothing," we both replied. He opened his mouth to respond but his response was drowned out by the bells signaling our new class was starting.
