One afternoon on one corridor in the de Lara mansion, where the rays of sun streamed in through the lining glass windows, casting a warm glow on the white wall and light brown marble floor, Valerie walked behind Lucy, who came after her to inform her that Lady Joanna was asking for her presence in her room.
Once they arrived in front of the sole daughter of Duke de Lara's room, Lucy raised her hand to knock on the closed door. "My lady, Lady Valerie is already here," informed Lucy after the sound of the knocks on the door stopped drifting gently in the serene air.
"Come in," was the response that came from inside of the room, which belonged to the voice of her young lady.
Soon, Lucy turned the knob and pushed the door open.
When the door opened, she stepped aside, gesturing for her young lady's relative to enter the room.
"Are you moving somewhere, Ann?" A genuinely surprised tone was carried in Valerie's voice once her eyes captured the condition inside Joanna's room.
