Rachel's POV
Summoning whatever courage and resolve I had stored in me, I did as my best friend suggested and didn't give him a response. The next 30 minutes was spent with us together, discussing stuff, sharing jokes and discreetly waiting to see if Drey would send another message or act out in any way.
At some point when a knock sounded on the door, we exchanged glances and thought it was him until a staff walked in to ask for Debby's assistance. I took it as my cue to pack up for the day to Debby's satisfaction and bid her farewell as we both left my office together.
Not a minute later I climbed into my car, steered it out of the parking lot and drove it in the direction of Lorenzo and I's home. I arrived in record time, parked and walked into an empty house.
I wasn't expecting anyone to be home, so I wasn't the least bit disappointed. Making my way up the stairs, I got into Lorenzo and I's room, undressed and waltzed into the bathroom.
