Rama stood frozen for a heartbeat. His eyes wide as the first wave of stone warriors surged toward them like a tide of silent and furious ancient armor. Their weapons raised high. Their heavy steps made the floor tremble, but there was no roar. Just the chilling sound of stone grinding against stone and the certainy that they have the only purpose to kill them.
Then, Caedryn stepped forward.
With a sharp flick of his fingers and a single whispered word, five blazing fireballs erupted from his hand.
They shoot through the air in arcs of flame and crashed into the front line of the advancing statues.
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
Each fireball exploded on impact, shattering some statues, sending others tumbling backward. Their limbs cracking and their stone faces breaking against the floor.
Smoke and heat surged forward, giving the group precious space to move.
But Caedryn wasn't done.
