BOOOOOOM!
A volcanic blast of fire erupted deep in the Witch Forest,
Sending a shockwave of molten air ripping through the trees.
Black smoke curled upward into the sky, staining the pastel festival colors into a grim omen.
Every witch froze.
"...."
"...."
"...."
Every bird fled.
Every mana-thread in the air trembled.
Because this wasn't ordinary fire.
This was Spirit-level mana.
The Witch Queen's sharp crimson eyes widened a little surprised by the intruder would use a spirit to attack.
"A Spirit… in my forest?"
Her throne cracked beneath her fingers.
With a whip of red mana and feathers—
PFFFT!
She vanished from sight, leaving only a smoldering scorch mark on the floor.
Even Dorothy flinched.
"...."
"...."
Even Charlotte swallowed hard.
Meanwhile, in the lively chaos of the Spring Festival streets…
Yami was lecturing Magna on the "sacred art of betting without being a dumbass"—
A lesson Magna clearly failed as he tearfully handed all his yul to a smug witch.
"...."
"...."
"...."
Then it happened.
That pressure.
That ominous heat.
That crushing, weight of a spirit mana.
Yami's cigarette paused mid-air.
His pupils narrowed.
-Frown
"Tch… this mana… ain't normal. Magna... On your feet."
A second later—
BOOM!
He kicked himself forward, ground cracking under his boots.
Magna panicked.
"...."
"...."
Fineral tried to turn around—
"I'll stay behind and protect the beauties—"
He didn't even finish.
Yami grabbed him by the scalp.
"Portal boy, MOVE."
"GYYYAAAAAA—!! OKAY OKAY I'M COMING!"
The entire Black Bulls squad stampeded after him.
Meanwhile...
Ben was sitting cross-legged on a straw mat, holding UNO cards like they were a tactical weapon.
Across from him,
Asta held a single card.
Sweating.
Hopeful.
A dozen witches in costume were cheering.
One witch whispered:.
"Is this… a spell??"
Another muttered
"No—some kind of Clover Kingdom dark ritual…!"
Ben watched his hand thoughtfully, thumb brushing over—
"...."
SHUFFLE HANDS
Asta stared at him, horrified.
Noelle slapped her forehead.
"...."
"...."
"...."
Dorothy and Charlotte rushed in, breathless.
"Ben!"
Dorothy said.
"Stay here. That mana… it's spirit-level and hostile."
"You are the king,"
Charlotte added, voice tight.
"If anything happens, you must stay behind guarded."
Ben nodded.
-Nod
"Alright. I'll stay here."
Then he turned back to Asta.
And smiled with the evilest grin imaginable.
-Grin
"UNO."
Asta screamed as he need to give his single card to Ben while he need to take the 16 cards from Ben's hand.
Dozens of witches in black cloaks soared into the sky on brooms, heading toward the smoke pillar.
The festival atmosphere evaporated—
Replaced with rising fear and combat readiness.
Whispers spread through the crowd.
"A Spirit user… in the forest?"
"Is it an enemy?"
"Why today of all days?"
"Did the Witch Queen go!? Then its already decided."
Ben felt a cold shiver.
"...."
Something was off.
Very off.
Meanwhile...
Another eruption shook the earth.
The two witches sent to confront her were already down—
Burned, groaning, alive only because she allowed it.
Fana stood over them, fire swirling around her feet like a blooming sun.
Her empty, serene smile never changed.
"Please do not resist. I only need what your queen is hiding."
Her Spirit Salamander's flame shadow flickered behind her.
The forest itself seemed to kneel before that overwhelming heat.
Then...
Red smoke burst open in the air.
And the Witch Queen materialized directly in front of Fana.
Her presence alone froze the flames around them.
Her voice dropped, low and lethal.
"Child of fire… you have entered my forest. You will leave nothing but ash unless you explain yourself now."
Fana lifted her hand, gathering fire.
And smiled sweetly.
"Then burn me, Witch Queen. I will be reborn anyway."
Meanwhile...
Ben who was playing UNO with Asta showing the witches how to play paused, his entire body locked up—
"...."
That primal instinct screaming.
'MOVE. NOW.'
Before Asta could finish shouting about UNO moral fairness,
Ben grabbed him by the collar and rolled,
Both of them tumbling across the ground—
FWOOOOOOSH—!!!
"...."
"...."
"...."
A light arrow ripped through the air and impaled the entire UNO pile,
Reducing all cards to glowing ash.
The witches screamed.
The air temperature dropped.
Every broom-witch near them immediately snapped open their grimoires,
Mana flooding the clearing in sheets of shimmering color.
From behind a tree, stepping out with calm, ghostly grace…
A figure in white robes.
Half a face covered.
"...."
Eyes glowing with unnatural calm.
A symbol Ben didn't mistook.
Eye of the Midnight Sun.
Asta roared, pulling out his Demon-Slayer Sword.
"YOU PICKED THE WRONG PERSON TO SHOOT AT!"
His legs trembled—
Not from fear, but from a primal instinct.
The killer intent from this person…
It was inhuman.
As Ben rose, eyes narrowing—
A chime echoed in his mind.
[Ding...]
[ Hidden Task Completed: Encounter the Elf Arc Villain — Patolli ]
[Reward: Null Void Shards × 40]
[Fame Points (FP): +450]
Ben didn't even have time to process it when—
"...."
[ Ding… ]
[FP Bar: 512 / 500 ]—> [New Alien Unlocked: Jack the Freeze ]
Another chime—
[ Ding… ]
Ben's heart skipped in excitement.
But the alien name made him pause he never saw Ben in the show used it before.
And Patolli—
Patolli was here.
One witch shouted.
"He's stronger as the intruder who attacked the forest border might be a decoy!"
Another chimmed in.
"Get the king behind us! He is te guest of witch queen."
Ben's fingers slid across the Omnitrix dial.
The holographic silhouettes of his unlocked aliens flickered one by one—
Then—
A silhouette he had never seen before.
A tall, elegant, icy figure with jagged limbs and glowing frost spirals.
Ben smirked.
-Smirk
"New guy, huh?"
He slammed the dial down.
FWAAAAAASH—!!!
A column of neon-green energy erupted around him.
His bones elongated.
His skin crystallized into translucent ice.
Sharp bioluminescent patterns wrapped around his limbs, spinning and humming like frozen circuitry.
When the green light cleared—
Ben was gone.
Standing in his place was—
❄️ JAK THE FREEZE ❄️
Long icy horns.
Green-glowing eyes.
Time-distorting rings spiraling around his arms.
His voice came out crooked and eerie, like a goblin echoing from inside a glacier.
"HEEHH— LET'S SEE WHAT YOU'RE MADE OF, LIGHT BOY…"
Even the witches whispered.
"A frost spirit…?? No—something MORE…"
For the first time,
Patolli's calm expression cracked.
His golden eyes narrowed.
-Frown
'This mana… It's not human. It's not elf. It's not spirit. What ARE you… Benjamin Kira?'
He shifted his stance.
Not out of confidence.
Out of caution.
Because with three captains present—
Charlotte Roselei (Briar Magic)
Dorothy Unsworth (Glamour World / Dream Magic)
Yami Sukehiro (Dark Magic)
—he had never expected such a lineup to appear in THIS forest at THIS moment would confront Fana.
Patolli thought this was a simple "stall the king" operation.
Instead…
Now he need to stop the king and soon return to Fana to support her.
Patolli internally cursed.
'Why are all these people here!? Why is Yami in the Witch Forest!? Why is Dorothy here!?'
He clenched his fist.
This mission was spiraling out of control.
Looking at the Patolli's reaction.
Jak the Freeze tilted his icy head, letting out a warped laugh.
"HHEHEH— HE'S SCARED."
Patolli's jaw tightened.
"...."
"Scared…? No. I simply must adapt my plans."
While the explosion still echoed across the forest,
Fana's Spiral Flame clashed against.
Yami's Dark Slash
Charlotte's Briars of Blue Rose
Dorothy's Dream Magic mist
The Witch Queen's Blood Magic chains
A four-way magical cage, pressing Fana from every direction.
The Witch Queen's tone was cold and imperious:
"Child… you dare bring destruction to my forest on this day?"
Fana snarled back.
"Give me… the magic stone!"
Dorothy stepped forward, eyes soft but sharp:
"She's not human right now…"
Charlotte drew her sword, vines blooming around her legs:
"Then we subdue her—without killing her."
Yami cracked his neck.
"Tch. Easy for you to say. She's packing spirit mana."
They clashed again—
The ground erupting in flame and darkness.
Meanwhile—
In the clearing where Ben had been playing UNO moments ago—
Patolli unleashed a storm of light blades.
They shot through the air like holy meteors, aiming straight at Ben.
But Ben—
Now Jak the Freeze—
Didn't dodge normally.
No.
He glided.
He skated.
Every step he took left glowing spiral ice rings under his feet.
Every movement was a dancer's flourish.
He leaned back, letting a beam pass his chin.
He twirled sideways, letting another graze his shoulder.
He ducked, flipped, slid under a third as if weightless.
His warped, goblin-like voice crackled with mischief.
"HEEEH—COME ON, GOLDEN BOY! AT LEAST TRY TO HIT ME!"
The surrounding witches watched in disbelief.
Asta's jaw dropped.
"BROTHER—YOU'RE SKATING! ON FLOOR LIKE THIS!!"
Patolli's anger flared.
"...."
He vanished.
FLASH—!
He reappeared behind Jak instantly,
A blade of pure light aimed for Ben's spine.
A killing blow.
But—
The world around Patolli slowed.
Not dramatically.
Not visually.
Just enough for Patolli to feel something was wrong.
His swing… hesitated mid-air.
His arm… felt heavy.
His heartbeat… distorted.
Time had hic cupped.
"...."
Jak the Freeze leaned his head back, smiling upside-down—
Eyes glowing with freezing temporal energy.
He tapped Patolli on the forehead with one icy claw.
"HEH—GOT YOU."
Patolli's pupils shrank.
He teleported immediately—
FLASH!
Reappearing several dozen meters away, gripping his wrist.
He gasped.
"...."
'…What was that? My attack… stopped? Time… stuttered?? WHAT is this creature!?'
His heart pounded with something he had not felt in centuries.
Dread.
Ben straightened his frozen-spindly body, tapping his toe on the ground.
A ripple of frost spiraled out—
Like a ripple on an icy lake.
"...."
"IF YOU WANT TO STALL ME—DO IT BETTER."
Patolli clenched his teeth.
