Chapter 69 - 27

Awakening Of Grace: Kyung Jin-ju II (5)

Team Leader Moon Jae-hee's office was definitely smaller than Director Lee Myung-sun's. But still, as a team leader, she was given a private office. Yet, to be honest, it was an office attached to the space where Do-kyung was. It wasn't completely separate like Lee Myung-sun's room; it was partitioned with clear glass.

Team Leader Moon Jae-hee.

The nameplate was visible.

The organization chart of this company was a bit unique. Other companies usually have ranks like employee, assistant manager, manager, senior manager, deputy director, but here it went from employee, manager, senior manager, team leader, to director. Above that, it was the same as other places.

The manager and team leader positions were somewhat ambiguous, but since the company's inception, they had assumed those roles, and now no one thought it was strange. In any case, with such a structure, Moon Jae-hee was indeed Do-kyung's superior. Moon Jae-hee didn't sit on the reception sofa but went to sit at her own desk. Naturally, Do-kyung had no choice but to stand in front of her.

'Oh dear…'

The intent was blatantly obvious.

It was to show that she was above Do-kyung.

"What did you talk about with the Director?"

"Just about today's Jo-sung Group matter."

"Really? Was there nothing else?"

"No."

Do-kyung's reply was dry.

In the past, he would answer well because he didn't want to create any animosity, but after hearing such things from Jeong So-young, Do-kyung's perception of Team Leader Moon Jae-hee plummeted almost vertically. As a result, his answers naturally didn't come out well.

"Then why did you call Assistant Lee Joon-seok, Assistant Manager Shin Na-kyung, and Employee Park Joon-woo? What did you discuss inside?"

Snicker.

Do-kyung let out a small laugh at Team Leader Moon Jae-hee's words, which seemed like an interrogation. Yet again, it was that annoying disregard. That contemptuous attitude was pushing his patience to its limit. But it seemed Moon Jae-hee felt the same, as her eyes twitched immediately.

"Did you just… scoff?"

"How should I report the Director's instructions, then? It's not such a secret, and you'll find out soon, so being questioned like this is annoying."

"Annoying… you say?"

"Yes, annoying."

At Do-kyung's words, anger began to spread across Team Leader Moon Jae-hee's face. Naturally, her anger rose when Do-kyung openly countered her. She glared at Do-kyung, but he didn't even blink.

This? Laughable, just laughable.

After a week off, Do-kyung had returned with newfound powers bestowed by the Goddess, and a glare like this was nothing to him.

Had she treated him well from the start, things wouldn't have turned out this way. If she had sat down on the couch and calmly talked things out, he would have reported to her amicably, without causing offense. After all, the project had come to him, and since he accepted it, no matter how hard Moon Jae-hee tried, she couldn't change that fact.

Had she shown a bit of respect, none of this would have happened. Do-kyung was sick and tired of being ignored, of swallowing his resentment. Sure, maybe he'd been a fool up to now, but he had power now, and he wasn't going to let it slide.

'If she keeps this up, I'll turn the tables on her…'

As this thought crossed his mind, Team Leader Moon Jae-hee managed to compose herself. Seeing the calmness return to her gaze, Do-kyung had to admit, she did have some skill.

"Alright, you can leave."

"Yes, then."

Do-kyung slightly bowed his head and stepped outside. As he exited, the necks that had shot up like meerkats all disappeared at once. No, there was one that didn't vanish. Jeong So-young. She was sweating profusely and sent a pleading look towards Do-kyung.

He let out a soft chuckle and returned to his seat, turning off the remote control. With that, Jeong So-young, who trembled once more, sighed in relief and slumped back over her desk. It must be unbearable for her. Recently, Do-kyung had been with three women.

Kyung Jin-ju, Jeong So-young, and Ashley.

Among them, Jeong So-young was the most sensitive.

Even the slightest stimulation would make her almost wet herself in arousal. Although she didn't generally enjoy sex, her body, unbeknownst to her, had grown incredibly sensitive after meeting Do-kyung. He sent her a message on his phone.

[I'll be coming over tonight.]

Her phone, placed on her desk, buzzed, and she flinched, glancing cautiously over at him. By that time, he had already turned his attention back to work. A moment later, a resigned "Yes…" came through, and he fully focused on his tasks.

That day, although they were originally supposed to meet on Wednesday, Do-kyung visited Jeong So-young's house, as he had mentioned earlier. After stopping by his home, he arrived well past 8 o'clock. As soon as he rang the bell, the door opened, revealing Jeong So-young in comfortable casual wear instead of her office attire, standing at the entrance with anxious eyes. Without her heavy office makeup, wearing only basic makeup, her image appeared unexpectedly innocent. The absence of thick mascara and eyeliner transformed her from a cunning fox to a gentle cat, as if by magic.

Do-kyung entered, took off his shoes, and sat on the sofa as if it were his own home.

Then, cautiously, Jeong So-young came over to stand in front of him. He gave her a steady look before motioning for her to sit.

Was it different from what she had expected?

Jeong So-young hesitated, tilting her head slightly, before bringing over a chair and sitting down in front of him.

"You got a sense of the atmosphere at the company today, right?"

"Pardon? The atmosphere?"

"Yes, the vibe between me and Team Leader Moon."

"Ah… yes."

"There must have been talk among the employees, right?"

"Yes, during lunchtime… there was some talk."

As expected.

Nothing in a workplace spread faster than an incident like this. Especially since Do-kyung had been a quiet employee for the past few years, seen as lacking capability, and on the verge of being promoted to senior manager soon. Yet, on Monday, he was called for a private meeting with Lee Myung-sun, the ace and super career woman of the company. As soon as the meeting ended, he bypassed Team Leader Moon Jae-hee's line and summoned employees for a meeting.

This meant only one thing: Manager Seo Do-kyung's full-fledged entry into office politics.

Moreover, as soon as the meeting ended, Team Leader Moon Jae-hee called for him, and although they couldn't hear the conversation in the glass-walled Team Leader's office, everyone could sense the tension from their expressions.

This had become the hot topic.

Naturally, lunchtime was dominated by talk about Seo Do-kyung.

Since returning from his time off, he had seemed like a completely different person. While he hadn't exactly been shabby before, he was the very definition of a plain, nondescript office worker. If there was an ideal corporate archetype, it would have been him. He was always quiet and treated people with a smiling face, earning a reputation as a nice person, but in a company, being called a nice person was virtually a euphemism for being incompetent.

But he changed.

After returning from vacation, he became sleek and handsome. His usually baggy suit fit perfectly, and his stomach was flat. His shoulders broadened, and although he wasn't wearing height-enhancing insoles, he seemed taller. Moreover, his skin was impeccable, to the point where words couldn't describe it.

He returned changed, and on the first day, he criticized Moon Jae-hee's team line, Jeong So-young, and eventually caused today's incident. An employee who liked martial arts novels even said this:

The hidden dragon has finally awakened.

Well, it wasn't wrong.

"So, there's even talk that Director Lee Myung-sun has started to move to oust Team Leader Moon Jae-hee…"

Jeong So-young relayed everything she heard during lunch to Do-kyung without missing a detail. He couldn't help but be amused by the variety of speculation floating around. From the term hidden dragon, likely from an aspiring novelist, to the talk that Lee Myung-sun had finally drawn the sword. But in Do-kyung's view, it was still just talk. If it were true, Lee Myung-sun would never subtly force a choice.

The truly frightening thing about her was that once she made a decision, she handled things very decisively and quickly.

A woman of action, as they say. Lee Myung-sun was exactly that type. Do-kyung organized his thoughts and stared intently at Jeong So-young.

"There's something you need to do from now on."

"What? M-me?"

"Yes, stay close to Team Leader Moon Jae-hee. And report to me everything she says and any plans she makes without leaving anything out."

"Ah…"

This was the reason he came to Jeong So-young's house today.

They say, 'Know your enemy and know yourself, and you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles.' In other words, if you know your enemy and yourself, you won't be in danger even if you fight a hundred times. Do-kyung thought he should get to know Moon Jae-hee in detail, and since her subordinate, Jeong So-young, was already under the Subjugation Imprint, he planned to use her to extract information.

A spy.

Working on such matters within the same company was certainly displeasing, but today, the bowstring had already been drawn in the Team Leader's office. Therefore, Do-kyung had to choose between being pierced by an arrow or piercing with an arrow, and naturally decided on the latter.

"Why? Don't you like it?"

"No! No, it's not that…"

"Then what's the problem?"

"I'm not really good at that…"

Smirk.

Not good at it?

That was a blatant lie.

"And yet with me, you don't seem to have any issues?"

"..."

With that single sentence, Jeong So-young turned speechless, and Do-kyung's gaze changed.

"I've been going easy on you lately, and now you're getting cocky?"

"N-no!"

"No, huh…? Take it off."

"Wh-what?"

"I said, take it off. I'll make sure you understand your position clearly again, so take it off."

"..."

Tears welled up in her eyes as she realized she had no choice but to obey.

Buzz!

"Hic…!"

As the remote control powered on, Jeong So-young immediately twisted her body. Yet, she began to obediently follow Do-kyung's orders. She took off the cardigan she had worn before, then removed the dress. As the dress slipped to the living room floor with a soft rustle, her pink bra and panties were revealed. Among them, the panties were already soaking wet.

If left any longer, they would probably start dripping. He ordered Jeong So-young, who was fidgeting nervously, to remove her bra and panties as well. Naturally, she couldn't refuse his words, and he quietly watched her as she undressed completely.

Indeed, a bombshell.

Her figure could be perfectly described as dynamite.

However, Do-kyung frowned instead.

"The clamps?"

"Well, it's just… my skin was getting too chafed…"

"So you disobeyed me? I specifically told you to keep them on."

"Sir, please… sob, sob…"

It seemed that the Subjugation Imprint could also be undone if not checked occasionally. Thus, Do-kyung decided to reinforce the imprint today. Taking out a black box from the bag he brought, he placed it on the table and unwrapped it immediately. Inside the packaging was a square case, and upon opening it, there were two silver rings and an unidentified tool.

And a moment later, a sharp scream echoed through the living room of Jeong So-young's house.
