Sophie Sullivan muttered gloomily, "The doctor gave me a shot with medicine to regulate my body constitution and treat period pain. I didn't expect it to hurt so much. If I had known, I wouldn't have let him do it!"
Her soft, adorable complaint carried the tone of a little woman.
Thomas Shannon was in an unusually good mood as he gently applied pressure to the needle spot, "Endure for a bit, and it won't hurt."
"Thomas Shannon, are you laughing?"
Sophie sensed his thin lips slightly curved in a teasingly annoying manner.
"Am I?" Thomas Shannon raised his eyes, those dark deep eyes quietly watching her.
Sophie hummed twice, though unhappy, she understood she had no grounds to blame him, "Go ahead and laugh. After all, when you fought with Edward Benson, I also laughed at you. We're even."
"Fennie is really generous."
Thomas Shannon removed the cotton swab, confirmed the needle spot no longer oozed blood, and discarded the swab.
