George Stanford reached out his hand, wanting Sophie Sullivan to help pour the soup for him.
Sophie, however, didn't notice, leaving his hand to stiffen in mid-air.
"Fiona?"
When she didn't respond, George Stanford had to raise his voice. "Fiona, what are you thinking?" The shout caused pain in his ribs.
Sophie came back to her senses and shook her head. "Not thinking about anything..."
She wondered how Thomas Shannon would punish Raina Bell.
He wouldn't let her go with him. Well, so what if he didn't? She didn't even want to go!
Anyway, after today, Raina Bell wouldn't be parading around in front of her anymore.
Thinking of this, her depressed mood improved a bit.
"Old Mr. Standford, what do you need me for?" Sophie looked at George Stanford, whose face was crumpled from the pain in his ribs.
George Stanford pointed to the soup on the bedside table. "Pour me some soup..."
