Sophie's heart melted completely. She hugged Lucifer. "Alright, I know you'll protect me."
Like a house cat being petted, Lucifer affectionately rubbed his chin against the top of her head.
The hostility in his eyes gradually faded, replaced by an expression of intoxicating tenderness and doting affection.
"If Thomas Shannon dares to bully me, I'll tell you, and you can help me get revenge. Okay?"
This was the only solution Sophie could think of.
There's no way Thomas Shannon would allow Lucifer into the manor. Even assuming the impossible, if he allowed Lucifer inside—
Once those two extremely dangerous individuals met, there would likely be fierce battles every day.
To avoid a bloody scene, keeping the two of them apart was the best solution.
"Lucifer, promise me." Sophie raised her head, her beautiful, hazy eyes now holding a trace of seriousness.
She wasn't joking; she was serious.
