Leaving the medical office, Sophie couldn't help but raise her hand to touch her face.
The feeling was truly miraculous; unbeknownst to her, her skin had already healed.
That it had scabbed so quickly was evidently a surprise to George Stanford as well.
Never mind George Stanford; even she herself found it hard to believe. It wasn't until this moment, when the gauze was removed and she felt the warmth of the sunshine on her face, that it truly sank in.
Only then did she confirm that her face was indeed healing at an extremely rapid speed.
"What are you thinking about?"
Sophie snapped out of her thoughts and looked at the man beside her. His handsome face possessed a soul-stirring allure, tempting one to drown in his deep eyes and making it impossible to break free.
Sophie shook her head, raised her arms, and her lips curved into a playful smile. "Thomas Shannon, carry me back."
Thomas Shannon sneered and turned to leave.
