William Guillen returned to his bedroom, changed his clothes, washed up, and shaved before heading downstairs.
Downstairs, Alexander Guillen was already wide awake, sitting in the restaurant, drinking coffee and reading a magazine.
Hearing footsteps, she looked up and saw him, raising her eyebrows in surprise. "Why are you up so early? I thought you'd sleep in a bit longer."
William snorted and sat down beside her. "No need for your concern. And stop with those little tricks; they're embarrassing."
"What little tricks?" Alexander Guillen feigned ignorance.
"Still pretending?" William put down his coffee, his cold gaze fixed on her. "Wasn't it you who locked the bedroom door from the outside last night? Wasn't it you who unplugged all the telephone lines?"
"Why are you so agitated? I was just trying to help you."
