Surrounded by Charlie River and the black-clothed man, Sophie Sullivan hurriedly left the hotel and got into the car, where she sat staring blankly into space. She was unaware of Thomas Shannon entering the car until a sudden pain on her cheek made her furrow her brows and snap back to reality.
Looking at Thomas Shannon, she saw his gloomy expression and his deep, unfathomable eyes. She frowned. "What are you doing?"
"What were you thinking about?"
Sophie Sullivan angrily threw his hand away and rubbed her cheek. "I just ran into Frank Mitchell..."
Thomas Shannon's eyes darkened. Frank Mitchell?
"What did he say to you?"
"Nothing much. He just called out to me. The bodyguards were there, so he didn't do anything to me."
Even if Frank Mitchell had wanted to do anything to her, the bodyguards wouldn't have allowed him to succeed.
