She surveyed her surroundings with a show of appraisal. "Are you getting used to this place?"
Amelia Shaw was covered in dirt, her hair disheveled and her face grimy. This unkempt appearance pleased Sophie Sullivan.
She asked with a smile, "Why don't you say anything?"
Amelia Shaw glared at her. "It was you, wasn't it?"
"What 'it was you'?" Sophie Sullivan raised an eyebrow. "I know the conditions here are terrible, but surely not bad enough to drive someone mad, right?"
The suspicion in her heart grew stronger.
Amelia Shaw rushed up to Sophie Sullivan, grabbing her by the collar. "You framed me, didn't you?"
She pretended to argue with Thomas Shannon, then 'coincidentally' ran into me and said those things to make me misunderstand. She knew I would try to take advantage of the situation, so she orchestrated this whole charade, causing Thomas Shannon to misunderstand me. And that's why I was locked in the dark cell. This woman in front of me planned all of it!
