Thomas Shannon's eyebrows furrowed, the expression on his handsome face somewhat intriguing. He looked neither angry nor happy, and his inscrutable gaze was disconcerting.
Amelia Shaw stood by the bedside, wringing her hands. "Thomas, you've been tired these days. You should go home and rest. As for the maniac, if you're worried, I can personally take care of her."
"There's no need." His refusal was curt and decisive.
Sophie Sullivan closed her eyes in satisfaction. Good, good. He wasn't foolish enough to actually let Amelia Shaw take care of me.
