Everything was ready. Aria Jackson put on the hood of her protective suit, zipped up the sealed zipper, and adjusted the filtration breathing apparatus at her mouth and nose.
Cherry and Gavin Graves watched on the side, looking amused.
Originally, they had planned to go home, but Aria insisted Cherry stay just in case of an emergency, figuring that Cherry might be the only one able to lend a hand. Naturally, Aria couldn't let her shirk work.
Cherry said to Gavin, "Earlier, Aria said something about mutants, giggle giggle..."
The joke seemed pretty random...
"If she reported directly about a witch's curse to her superiors, she'd probably be dismissed immediately," Gavin said flatly. "Besides, calling it a mutation isn't wrong. It indeed caused some sort of infection, making Moissanite's body mutate."
At that moment, another group of people passed in front of them.
They were carrying metal boxes, placing them steadily in front of Aria for inspection.
