The cemetery was clean and fresh, with lush greenery planted around. There was a small photo on the tombstone. In the photo, Nathaniel Summers had a peaceful look, his eyes carrying a faint smile.
Purple Summers looked at it for a long time.
She thought she would feel emotional, but unexpectedly, she felt an unusual calm in her heart.
There was no hatred, no attachment, just plain and simple, like looking at an old friend she hadn't contacted in years - somewhat familiar, yet feeling very distant.
Though those things were long in the past, looking at the tombstone in front of her, Purple Summers truly felt closure for the first time.
