"I definitely won't replace your bandage, you big pig's trotter!" Jane Sampson patted James Black's hand that was around her waist, "Let go, I want to leave!"
James Black's eyebrows twitched.

What does that mean?
Even though he couldn't fully understand what the term meant, it didn't prevent James Black from grasping that it was a new insult Jane Sampson had picked up somewhere to scold him.
Nor did it stop James Black from knowing that Jane Sampson was angry.
She was angry because he had hidden his injury from her.
"It was very late when I got home last night, I didn't want you to worry, so I didn't tell you," James explained, "It's really just a minor injury."
