A few seconds later, Nina coughed twice, "Didn't deliver! Definitely didn't! With how picky this spoiled brat is, let him starve for all I care! Why should I be the one to deliver food to him? I'd rather see him starve so he wouldn't bother me anymore, so there's no way I'd deliver food to him!"
Luckily, Jane Sampson and Nina have been friends since childhood and knew Nina's personality well.
Otherwise, with Nina's long-winded denial, Jane Sampson almost believed it.
The more guilty Nina felt, the louder she spoke, as if being loud made her right.
So, Jane Sampson understood that Nina indeed went to deliver food, and even though Alexander Forest has a thick skin, it works when it comes to Nina.
"By the way, has your James Black not returned yet?" Nina quickly changed the subject, fearing that if she spoke too much, Jane Sampson might catch on. "How's your arm injury? It's been so long, has it scabbed over yet?"
