Granny Carter was somewhat angry when she spoke the last sentence, "My final tolerance for her is that if the photo incident has nothing to do with her, her status as our Carter Family's foster daughter, before Jane Sampson's identity is made public, is known only to our Carter Family's relatives and friends. She remains our foster daughter. But if it is related to her, I will mercilessly kick her out!"

"I agree with your grandma's opinion." Old Sir Carter only said this one sentence.

He paused, seeing Father Carter and Mother Carter both gently sigh. Old Sir Carter, noticing neither of them objected, continued, "Jillian has too many thoughts, but they are very small. Some things, she has done, you do not know. But it doesn't mean your mother and I don't know. We just thought it would be bad enough if we heard it ourselves, and didn't want you to be upset too. But just because you don't know, doesn't mean she hasn't done anything."
