James Black glanced at the time, then said, "It's getting late, you have work tomorrow morning, get some rest early."
Jane Sampson playfully said over the phone, "I'm so excited I can't sleep, can you lull me to sleep?"
Jane Sampson quickly lifted the quilt, climbed into the quilt, and said, "Can you tell me a fairy tale?"
"Quite demanding, aren't you?" James Black chuckled, "No fairy tales, but I'll read you today's newspaper."
Jane Sampson thought for a moment, nodded, and agreed.
James Black got up, went to the living room to get the newspaper, then shook the folded newspaper in his hand and softly read her a report about technology research.
So excited she couldn't sleep, yet she fell asleep before he finished reading even one piece of news.
James Black listened to the gentle breathing coming from the phone and tentatively called out, "Jane?"
After a few seconds, without receiving an answer, James Black somewhat helplessly said, "Good night."
