Father and Mother Carter exchanged a glance, then nodded.
"Jillian, Joseph, have a seat. Just in time, there's something very important we need to talk about with you in the house."
Father Carter pointed to the seat next to him, and after Joseph led Jillian to sit down, Father Carter slowly began to speak, "It's concerning Jillian. We only found out about this yesterday."
"What is it?" Jillian's heart skipped a beat, could it be that Jane Sampson really complained?
Father Carter sat there looking at the daughter he had pampered for over 20 years, watched grow up, and personally gave away in marriage. At that moment, he was unsure how to begin.
But it was Old Madam Carter who had fewer scruples, "Your daddy is afraid of making you upset and is embarrassed to tell you, so I'll be the old woman to tell you."
