"Dad, why are you so happy?" Brooke Black put down the items in her hand, took her husband's arm, and walked towards Old Master Black. Then she sat next to him, reached out, and patted the head of Great General's son.
The Great General, lying beside them, also nudged his head against the back of Brooke Black's hand, making his intentions clear.
He wanted to be petted too.
"Look, this Great General was raised by Jane Sampson. Doesn't he resemble her? Especially when he's being affectionate," Brooke Black turned to James Black and asked with a smile, "When Jane Sampson acts all spoiled with you, isn't she just like this?"
James Black looked down at the Great General, a slight smile appearing at the corner of his mouth.
Not only does she resemble him; their way of seeking affection is uncannily similar, both desperately clinging to people, wanting hugs and kisses.
Of course, Jane Sampson has a way of being affectionate that no one else does.
