"Tomorrow morning, before I go back, I'll get breakfast ready for you. Remember to eat breakfast when you head out," James Black reminded Jane Sampson, "After breakfast, don't forget your medicine."
Jane Sampson turned her body, hooked her foot, and pulled the quilt over herself, then continued chatting with Bright Sampton on her mobile phone.
James Black stared at her for a few seconds without hearing a reply from her.
He pressed down on her through the quilt, cupped her chin with both hands, forcing Jane Sampson to look at him. Only then did he snort and speak, "Answer me."
"I heard you," Jane Sampson quickly replied, not daring to brush him off. If she had even a hint of dismissiveness, James Black would have taken care of her.
She hurriedly sent Bright Sampton a voice message saying she was going to sleep, then obediently put her mobile phone down to charge and snuggled into James Black's arms.
