Peter Gingery looked resentful, while Sebastian Fry dared not speak as he watched James Black walk out from inside the kitchen.
Unable to resist, he muttered under his breath, "Tomato and egg noodles."
He didn't dare to openly rebel, so he could only use Jane Sampson's influence to disdain as a way of venting.
As for James Black's eye daggers, Peter Gingery turned his back and acted as if he didn't notice.
After a busy afternoon, Jane Sampson and Mair Williams prepared a big table full of meals, and the five people sat around the small dinner table, enjoying a harmonious atmosphere.
"I sincerely hope little Jane can stay here forever, going out with the team or whatever, just thinking about it is so wonderful," Peter Gingery exclaimed contentedly after taking a bite of the braised pork, "I think, Brother, you must be thinking the same too."
