Jane Sampson's body stilled slightly, and after being quiet for a few seconds, she slowly raised her head to look at James Black and let out a soft hum.
Breakfast was brought home by James Black from the community entrance during his morning run, and Jane Sampson saw that breakfast was ready when she came out of the bedroom after washing up.
He had brought back the peanut soup that Jane Sampson loved, along with a few buns and two tea eggs.
Jane Sampson giggled and sat beside the dining table, watching James Black ladle the soup for her. After receiving it, she first took a sip before saying thank you.
"It's been some time since I've had this peanut soup, and it's just as delicious as ever," Jane Sampson remarked. "But the guard team's breakfast is also tasty."
"If you really like it, you could just come to the guard team and find me when you have free time," James Black added.
