It was gloomy and raining outside, and even though the curtains were open, the light in the study didn't seem very bright.
The man's expression was somewhat indifferent. He glanced at her briefly, then said to the male doctor in the white coat standing not far in front of him, "You tell her."
The young male doctor nodded, then smiled warmly at her and invited her to sit on the sofa, "Miss Candi, please have a seat here."
Aldana Candi stood there looking at Philip Shaw for a while. He was leaning in his chair, his eyebrows lowered, nonchalantly playing with a string of prayer beads in his hand, not paying much attention to her.
She slowly withdrew her gaze, walked over to sit across from the doctor, and then softly asked, "What's going on?"
The doctor smiled and extended his hand, "My surname is Cooper."
She nodded, "Doctor Cooper."
