Remembering the way he stood alone by the window earlier, looking out in solitude, she felt an inexplicable heaviness in her heart. Norris Moore softly asked, "What were you thinking about just now?"
Trenton Smith sat on the bed, wrapping his arms around her slender shoulders. Like a docile kitten, Norris Moore curled up in his embrace. He leaned down to kiss her hair, speaking in a light tone, "Nothing much. Are you hungry?"
Norris Moore nodded: "A little."
Trenton Smith gazed at her, seemingly smiling faintly, then got up to find her some clothes.
The clothes that Norris Moore brought had already been hung in his closet. He picked out a set of long-sleeved pink pajamas and walked over to help her put them on.
