"What did she say?" Marilyn Carter feigned composure, looking at Keira Leaf as she slowly spoke.
Keira Leaf merely curled her lips, silent.
"What exactly did Victoria say?"
"She said...she said..." Keira Leaf slowly spoke, while Marilyn Carter stared at her without blinking. Yet before she could say a word, she saw the woman in front of her close her eyes and completely faint in Charles Chill's arms!
"Wake up!" Marilyn Carter stepped forward, gripping Keira Leaf's shoulders tightly and shaking her back and forth: "What exactly did she say? What did Victoria say?"
"Enough, Marilyn Carter! If you don't take her to treat the wound immediately, you'll never hear what Victoria said before she died in this life!"
Marilyn Carter was somewhat dazed. Lately, she had been plagued by nightmares, constantly dreaming of that wretched girl, dreaming of her repeatedly screaming and asking, questioning why she didn't save her!
She repeatedly explained that she did try to save her, but failed!
