Joshua Sulliven parked the car and returned to his room. As he passed by Keira's closed door, his steps paused slightly, and he turned his head to linger at the original location for a long time.
Suddenly, he remembered that her condition seemed to have just stabilized. He wondered if what he did today would again cause her any distress.
Thinking of this, Joshua couldn't help but feel a bit worried. He turned around and walked towards her door, raising his hand several times intending to knock, but his raised fist hung in midair, never managing to drop.
She probably wouldn't want to see him now, and if she knew it was him, she certainly wouldn't open the door.
Joshua stood silently at the original location for a while but ultimately turned back to his room, his expression somewhat desolate.
After returning home, Keira collapsed onto the sofa, clutching a floral pillow, staring dazedly at the teacup on the tea table, feeling completely out of sorts.
