Harrison Yale gripped the steering wheel with one hand, but his gaze stayed fixed on the rear-view mirror, waiting for the person trailing them to appear.
But after waiting a few minutes, there wasn't a shadow in sight.
"Harry, what did you see just now?" Emma Aiden held her breath nervously, waiting for Harrison to speak, unable to resist asking.
"The person's gone." Harrison's gaze moved away from the rear-view mirror, coldly parting his lips.
Who had been following them just now?
"Buzz buzz..." The sudden ringtone of the cell phone broke the silence, sounding particularly startling.
Emma reached into her carry-on bag, only to realize it was Harrison's cell phone ringing.
"Whose call is it?"
"..." Harrison's pupils slightly tightened as he stared at the unfamiliar number on the phone screen.
With a flick of his long fingers, he answered the call.
