Emma Aiden originally just wanted to change the subject, but as soon as the words left her mouth, she became serious.
She lifted her head and looked at the man in front of her.
He always used to bring her gifts whenever he went out, but this time, he had been gone for so long and returned empty-handed.
Emma Aiden's gaze moved from his face and searched around him.
No gifts in the pockets, or in the briefcase beside him.
Did he really not bring her a gift?
"I won't accept any excuse that you're the gift yourself." Emma Aiden suddenly lifted her head, puffing up her cheeks, angrily speaking.
She had waited for him for so many days; he better show some sincerity.
"Want a gift?" Harrison Yale glanced at Emma's puffed-up face and reached out to poke her cheek. "Give me a kiss, and I'll give it to you."
"A gift should be given with sincerity, not as a transaction!" Emma Aiden confidently replied, refusing the deal.
