As soon as Chester Yale entered the room, he didn't give Zoe Yale a chance to speak; he immediately walked towards the balcony and took a loop around it.
Only after confirming no one was there did he walk inside.
The second place he checked was the restroom.
Zoe Yale followed behind him, secretly relieved at her quick thinking for not letting Charles White hide there, otherwise they would have been caught and in deep trouble.
"Father, what are you looking for?" Zoe Yale walked to the bed, hugging a pillow from the bed, looking at Chester Yale with a sad expression.
"I'm so tired, I even forgot to turn off the light before sleeping. If you don't let me sleep, I'm going to cry."
"..."
Chester Yale paused his footsteps, turned back to look at his pitiful-looking daughter.
There was reluctance in his eyes.
Why is there no one?
The bodyguards patrolling the manor clearly said they saw a suspicious figure, but the person moved too quickly, and they couldn't catch up.
