"Insure? You tell me to sleep safe at night knowing someone can coup me any time when you're gone."
As Yuqi yelled right into Xiaoyun's face, he remained calm. He looked back into her eyes as he spoke softly next.
"I didn't mean to use that word. Sorry... The coup was an accident that would never be repeated."
Despite his reassurance, Yuqi didn't buy it. Still, her rationality took over as if she realized the anger towards Xiaoyun was unjustified.
"How can I possibly know about that for sure?" Yuqi quietly questioned.
"Because I'm here."
"What if you're busy commanding the troops in the front line again? Who's going to be there to stop them?"
"The people and the soldiers themselves know what right and wrong... The only reason the coup was possible was that the town was just starting."
Seeing Xiaoyun unwilling to compromise or change his view, Yuqi had no other choice but to accept the status quo once again.
