Farid walked over, a scroll in one hand and a warm smile on his face. "I see you're all enjoying our local cuisine."
"Papa!" Fariya chirped, running over to hug him.
He chuckled and ruffled her hair. "Hey, little guide. Nice job getting them around the place."
Noel nodded, wiping the sweat from his brow. "It's certainly been memorable."
Farid chuckled. "You Kuroriku prefer earthy and salty food, no?"
I nodded. My kingdom was known for its carrots and potatoes. Miso was also a big thing. "We also like sweets."
Amaya looked at her son, who was still fanning himself. "Some of us more than others."
Farid's smile widened. "Then you must try the 'Sultan's Delight' for dessert. It's a sweet, creamy pudding made with pistachios and rosewater. It will cool your tongue and delight your senses."
Raiki's eyes lit up, the memory of the fiery curry momentarily forgotten. "Can we, Mama? Can we?"
Amaya sighed. "Alright, fine. But this is the last thing, I mean it."
