I transformed Aventine into its gladius form and smirked.
Eiro didn't waste anytime with transforming his weapon, instead raising a hand. The stone tiles rose with a grinding roar forming huge spikes, each one tipped with his golden aura.
According to the rules Amelia and Amaya had agreed upon, we were only allowed to go up to Second Heaven, use our basic domains, and our initial angel tool equip forms. There weren't any restrictions on the use of angel techniques though. Although, Eiro couldn't use his Xelerian powers since I didn't have magic, making this a competition of angelic might, physical prowess, and honed skill.
I dodged the earth spikes and launched myself into the sky. Grinning, I swung my bronze gladius at him.
He scoffed and transformed his lion-shaped necklace onto a spear. The way he held it was as if he had been born with it. Funny as the guy liked to downplay his spear skills.
