Amelia PoV
After eating, we tucked the kids into bed in our wagon. Nora and Tsuna looked so peaceful, little smiles on their faces as they drifted off to sleep. I made sure to tuck them in tightly, placing a soft kiss on each of their foreheads before quietly shutting the door behind me.
I found Vadim sitting by the dwindling fire, a thoughtful look on his face as he stared into the flickering flames. He seemed lost in thought, his brow furrowed in concentration.
I crept up behind him, moving as silently as I could, my bare feet barely making a sound on the cool ground. When I was close enough, I leaned forward and whispered, "A penny for your thoughts, my king."
He flinched slightly, turning his head with a start. "Amelia! You startled me!"
I giggled, slipping my arms around his shoulders from behind and resting my chin on his shoulder. "You got to work on that, you know. A Shadow Knight should have better senses."
